I tried to improve that process locally by joining a committee within my expertise. Back then, when light maintenance came up, I documented how the city could save by switching to LED lights. Scripture also asserts that every child after Adam is born in "original sin." A recent post claimed that everyone lies. "Actual sin." He believed it. So do I, unless one realizes that the fear of the loss of Salvation should convince everyone to learn otherwise. Even those who believe themselves virtuous before Salvation, are deluding themselves. The self-righteous often are the ones condemning God's faithful. I have done that and am filled with fear for my salvation if I do it again. Are you someone who is willing to condemn others for destroying the planet? Failure to admit it and seek forgiveness will cost you in eternity. Have you never hurt anyone accidentally in growing up, and do you not cringe at those memories? Maybe you've let it go and forgotten. But does the one you hurt still carry the scar? Jesus was safe calling for any who were free from sin to cast the first stone at Him. Apparently everyone there was realistic enough about themselves to not cast a stone. Is that true today? I don't think so. Jesus loves ALL of us, and has died and arisen to accept the punishment for all sin for all time, so that we can live in eternity with Him, because finally in this age, we can understand His Sacrifice and altruism as a model for us, and can gratefully choose to emulate Him. You are free to choose. But he did not overcome sin on Earth. Not yet, because He is waiting for all to be told about Him, and for you to make your choice - which He will honor. Feel free to turn away from God, as long as you understand the consequences in eternity. And we will still face consequences on Earth. Any who believes Scripture says otherwise are willfully lying.
