I Don't Care Much about the Antifa kids getting snatched by DHS. But How much should I?
TimTuolomne comments on Jul 19, 2020:
Practically every moron who depends on someone else to tell them what to think, and listens to the socialists only too happy to tell them, believes the propaganda that Trump is evil. It is up to us to gently, lovingly ridicule these gullible Utopian idealists. Now is the time. The American and European Left are openly showing who they are, which is tending to leave their devoted followers shaken. Time to bear down on them. No gentle leader could have withstood the withering and illegal inquisition by the American Left. The very strength and toughness of character is what they attack as "character flaw," which is actually the only effective defense against their uncivility.

Democrats are Democrats because they believe in something other than the Constitution. Sadly, some Republicans who either are lying about their allegiance, or falsely believe they can not get re-elected on defense of the Constitution, are also not supporters of the Constitution. They will all eventually disappear from the face of Constitutional politics, because either our system will be destroyed by Democrats, or voters will recognize Democrats as the deceivers they are.

Many posts here have revealed consistent recording of every other cause as COVID-19. This could only happen under direction of Deep State officials, under the equivalent of Martial Law - which is our defacto condition, whether anyone realizes it or not. And our President is carefully limiting himself to actual Constitutional powers, so he is limited about how he may address the Deep State - a hidden institution of Democrat appointees and owned "Republicans," created by the Democrats over decades.

Only the desperately unintelligent, who need someone to tell them what to think, could possibly swallow that swill. 2. I suggest you read the Constitution on the actual powers of the president. Our President is remaining within the limits of his Constitutional powers...what a concept. 3. Start reading less propaganda oriented sources, such as Judicial Watch, the New Paper, and the Epoch Times. You will notice that the President has kept almost every one of his promises, which places him among the very few in history with such a record. I find your comment contemptible.

What is EVANGELISM?
TimTuolomne comments on Jul 18, 2020:
Scripture encourages us to share the Good News of our salvation through Jesus' sacrifice. In our understanding of His precious Gift, saving us from our nature on Earth, we are overwhelmed with gratitude, and freely choose to be an example who honors the Gift, (in spite of our frequent failure to do so perfectly) in hope that it inspires others to a similar understanding, that they may choose to be saved as well. Evangelism is merely the willingness to speak the truth about our faith. The Apostle Paul was as perfect example of an evangelist as I am aware. Acceptance of Christ’s Gift is entirely by free will. Just as God honors our choice to seek Him, or turn from Him, so must we honor the choice of others - even though it is always difficult to bear when they choose away from God, as that will be denying themselves the infinitely valuable presence of God, which we will know. A bit like someone telling you they are going to run off a cliff, and you know you must not stop them.

TimTuolomne comments on Jul 15, 2020:
Constitutional principles cannot foresee every human eventuality, including monopolies. So Congress must make laws and the Supreme Court must interpret them to address the challenges to free enterprise that monopolies present. Many times very powerful monopolies have greater financial power than the government and successfully defend challenges to their monopolies, not based on the best interests of free enterprise, but because the government can't afford to prosecute. Microsoft is the best example. Microsoft successfully drove better technologies and products out of business. Companies like WalMart have driven hundreds of "mom" hardware and other kinds of stores out of business across the nation. There are dozens; maybe hundreds of other examples. Was any of that better for the American consumer in the long run. I say no.

COVID-19 is the latest version of the common cold. It is less dangerous than the flu. This version of the common cold is more contagious than most, and it places anyone with serious pre-existing conditions in mortal danger, but no worse than the flu, and "flattening the curve" may be responsible for extended exposure of those at risk. https://informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/covid-19-coronavirus-infographic-datapack/ Dr Richard Bartlett of Texas has also found that Budecinide is an almost completely effective treatment. Media coverage? None. Political acceptance? None or negative without cause. Most of us who don't smoke are in less danger of dying of COVID-19, than we are driving to the grocery. In the US, there is lots of evidence of tampering with diagnoses in hospitals. The standard protocol demands listing death by pre-existing conditions, not listing the cause of death from complications, like COVID-19. I have seen an half dozen posts by medical professionals from across the country, like this: Board of Medical Practice threatens to shut down a doctor. He said he is being "targeted" for comparing COVID-19 to the flu. Dr Jensen cited ICD 10 coding: "If the provider documents suspects ...a cause other than COVID-19, provider is obligated to not record it as COVID-19." Notes that massive overreporting is occurring in spite of that directive.[facebook.com] Medical professionals consistently say that now, doctors are ordered to report any person that is suspected of having COVID-19, which are determined, not by testing, but by a person exhibiting two of the following: sore muscles, fever, chills, headache, sore throat, weird tastes or smells. Or one of these: cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing. They also include anyone who tests positive for antibodies (meaning anyone with the common cold, H1N1, or type 2 influenza), AND contact with anyone who "may have had" COVID-19. [cdn.ymaws.com] Look at the data, and you will see all pre-existing conditions, and flu deaths far lower than average this year. Also, more testing is not distinguishing between asymptomatic, or even contagious-asymptomatic positives. So cases appear to be increasing only because testing is increasing. This serves the purposes of the politicians demanding more shutdown, more harsh controls, ie Democrats, who want you to believe this is the "new normal." And WE are putting up with this. In Scripture, the devil is often called "the Accuser." Some may not find it a coincidence that the American Left has as its main tactic to accuse. They are slinging mud and hoping some sticks, to destabilize our society, and de-legitimize our Constitutional Republic. Does that sound like something the devil would do? Tempt you to abandon something sound and good for something that doesn't exist, with promises of utopia, or riches, or fairness, or whatever you desire? It is also no accident that the Democrat platform promises everything to everyone, while the leadership denies starting the KKK, and to this day being the majority of its members - hiding behind hoods, hoping to keep it a secret, and claiming Republicans are KKK members. Democrats are the party of deception. Some of American history's most corrupt politicians are Democrats, like Huey P. Long, Rod Blagojavic..... Sound familiar?

Earthly laws of physics and reality can not be assumed to apply to a different dimension, and physicists say is seems likely that the larger reality in which we are embedded, and do not have access normally, may mean Christ's awareness of our slightest impulse is not even as wild as His proven Resurrection. Those with bumper stickers which self-righteously proclaim that "War is not the answer," ignore the fact that the Aragorn's of the World insist that it is, and someone must defend themselves or die. And the proud bumper sticker on display assumes that everyone wants war, which is completely ridiculous. The vast majority of us just want to live our lives unconcerned about power or politics. But those who judge others, often with condemning words, are the true root of war. When those of us defending what remains of our unique system of governance are perceived as preventing a better, unproven system, historically those desiring the change are willing to kill to achieve their idea of utopia..."for our own good." “If you are not prepared to use force to defend civilization, then be prepared to accept barbarism.” ― Thomas Sowell.

The political climate today is an attempt by anti-constitutionalists to destabilize society and replace it with their own utopia. The fact is, most of us will survive such an event just fine. And the story the anti-constitutionalists are creating is almost all completely fiction, so you don't really have to worry much about it. That means the virus, the climate, police brutality, racism...all of that is fiction that the media - which is owned by the anti-constitutionalists, wants you to believe. You don't have to. Relax. You are going to be fine. Some of us are bothered by the danger to our Constitution. That is real, but you don't need to worry about that. We will do our best to defend it. And if we fail, probably no big deal for many people who are not concerned about our political system.
Are you religious? There might have been a poll on this before. If so, I apologize but I'm curious.
TimTuolomne comments on Jul 11, 2020:
Humans regard religion as the cause of their own murderousness, among many other reasons we deny that the evil we do isn't our fault. Marxism is responsible for the death of arguably 100 million souls, only second to Islam. In the name of Christianity, millions died in the Crusades as the fearful HUMAN response to murderous Muslims. Christ sacrificed himself for the sake of every human soul past, present and future, only for the price of acceptance of His gift. If I were a man who chose to die for every human, I would mourn each and every one who chose to decline my gift. His current call to every Christian is to love God and all humans as we love ourselves. Millions were free to decline and have throughout history. There has never been any other figure in history who died for us and resurrected. That is impossible on Earth, but not for a being from Heaven. There were over 500 witnesses, all who remained true to their testimony, most under pain of death. I did not have to die for my sins, because He did. And I am grateful for His Sacrifice. So in gratitude I will, with terrible fallibility, attempt to not dishonor His gift. My relationship is with Him, and I congregate with others of like mind. But that association is a human one. The relationship that matters is with Jesus Christ. Atheism claims there is no God. There is no evidence for such a claim, and theologists agree that all of the evidence exists that I have given, that there is. If one thinks about it even for a short bit, one has to admit that physicists beginning to understand that our Universe is a mere film within a larger reality, means that asserting there are no beings there would be like asserting that we don't exist. Belief is conviction without evidence. And knowledge is belief WITH evidence. I have evidence, so I KNOW that Jesus Christ lives. “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.” - C.S. The American Left has been doing everything possible to destabilize our society to deligitimize our Constitution since the turn of the last century. Read "Alinisky's Rules for Radicals" if you want to see a step by step blueprint. If you have been paying attention, and not listening to the general media - which has been enlisted in service of that blueprint, you will recognize everything as having happened as Alinsky prescribed.

You know those fish who grow up to be either male or female depending on the environment?
TimTuolomne comments on Jul 11, 2020:
What makes you think humans aren't made with genes that express differently with different environmental stimuli? We do. Geneticists say so. Not sex of course, but many other things do change, much like the genes in a grizzly bear turn it into a polar bear in arctic conditions. Cancer is among the most significant expressions that is environment dependent. The other problem is that humans in aggregate have historically poor judgment. There is no way at all that genetic engineering of our own species will end well. “Evil is not to be traced back to the individual but to the collective behavior of humanity.” - Reinhold Niebuhr

“No government of the left has done as much for the poor as capitalism has. Even when it comes to the redistribution of income, the left talks the talk but the free market walks the walk. What do the poor most need? They need to stop being poor. And how can that be done, on a mass scale, except by an economy that creates vastly more wealth? Yet the political left has long had a remarkable lack of interest in how wealth is created. As far as they are concerned, wealth exists somehow and the only interesting question is how to redistribute it.” ― Thomas Sowell.

TimTuolomne comments on Jul 7, 2020:
The Left criticizes everything to destabilize society, and promotes their criticisms as intelligence. it isn't. Most of them have never read the Constitution. Ask them. Even fewer have read the Federalist Papers, which basically explain how the Constitution and other important concepts came into existence. Some on the right are unwillingly enrolled in this "debate," because they believe it is a good faith discussion, and end up angry, because it isn't a good faith discussion. It is a deception, intended to place conservatives off balance, so we seem weak and confused. Best tactic with the "cancel culture" is to clearly communicate non-verbally that you believe they have lost their minds and shouldn't be allowed to be out in public.

Every study on group ethics shows that accountability utterly disappears in any group of human beings over a few thousand souls. What reasonable person believes it will improve in a global government??? Our own country is now far larger than envisioned by our founders, and accountability is nearly absent. In their incredibly insightful vision, our founders wrote into the Constitution that the States were supposed to be the center of power in the United States - hence the name. We are not named “ The Republic of America”. Democrats have ignored and in some cases changed the laws to subvert that concept. We must reverse that trend if we are to return to accountable government. Democrats' more visible effort to destabilize and thereby de-ligitimize our government, is evident in Obama's statement.

Consider how the people have gradually become accustomed to the leftist ideas that the government is the answer to everything. Any Constitutionalist must be pretty careful to tread a fine line if they are going to stay in office long enough to keep fighting for the Constitution. I agree with you about recognizing McConnell's risk, and that with the President's recent speech as cover, maybe he can risk speaking out a bit more. A lot like conservatives among the people. A lot of us can not have any kind of respectful conversation without someone being uncivil. That's the Left winning the agenda by brainwashing even some on the right to adopt their criticism of everything, to destabilize and de-ligitimize our system. Just like the President standing almost alone as the one-man frontline against the assault on our Constitution. Unless we vocally support him to every one of our Representatives, he may not succeed.

That is called a coup, and is exactly what the Left has in mind by destabilizing civil society to try to de-legitimize Constitutionalism, just like they tried to de-legitimized a duly elected president. Our system does not require a benign, uncorruptible leader. Look at those who have been president, and Congress. Dictators eventually prove to be corruptible, as are we all, and in that system, the system collapses when the leader does. Read the Federalist Papers. There are very good reasons the original Constitution was written. Leftists will try to assert that it is out of date, but only because that thin document is the only thing protecting you from them. And we have allowed the Left to compromise it so much already, that it barely exists now.

A few facts regarding wind powered systems.
TimTuolomne comments on Jul 6, 2020:
1. Wind power can never be more than 56% efficient for a number of reasons related to the physics of air, airfoils and unshrouded turbines. True efficiencies are far less. 2. Almost all turbines require at least 11 mph to start turning, and must be shut down to prevent damage above 35mph. 3. If you look at a map of wind velocity averages over time across the US, only a few percent of the area has velocities consistently greater than 11mph. Most places do not. 4. Wind turbines are very complicated devices that must operate in a very harsh environment, so maintenance costs are high and their operational lives are very short - typically not more than 5 years. 5. The cost for wind power is about 40 cents per kWhr. The cost per kWHr is the only meaningful measure of comparison. 6. The cost of energy in Colorado is about 4 cents per kWHr. It may be up to ten times higher in non oil/gas states. (Still probably does not justify it.) I was a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners, certified Solar Thermal Installer 2010-2013. To be certified I had to pass a test more difficult than the EIT exam I passed when I received my mechanical engineering degree. The NABCEP test contained much of the information above. My disclaimer: I am no longer in the solar thermal installation business.

TimTuolomne comments on Jul 6, 2020:
Almost no proponent of renewables will be honest with you about the cost per kWHr, the only true "apples to apples" method of comparing them to each other and to local energy. In Colorado, energy costs about 4 cents per kWHr. The best renewable is solar thermal, which when you calculate the equipment cost after incentives over its lifetime, comes out to about 2 cents per kWHr. For most Coloradoans, that is not enough of a slam-dunk to justify it. Energy is usually more expensive in non-oil and gas states, and can be up to 20 cents per kWHr, making some renewables reasonably attractive. But many in Colorado WILL buy a photovoltaic system that runs about 11 cents per kWHr after incentives. Pretty much a bad deal, but most of them are environmentalists who will lie and tell you their meter runs backwards all the time, to justify the embarrassment of the true cost they eventually realize. Wind and geothermal both cost around 40 cents per kWHr after incentives over their short lifetimes - ergo their higher cost. Not smart economics nor ecovironomics. Best bang for your buck? Seal all the cracks in your window frames, wall plates, and attic penetrations, and add insulation. Here is a handy pictorial from the Minnesota Power: https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/53e4fdabe4b00bf4cf27d379/1427678514675-FNHZBG5715EPQZHQOM4F/Residential-Pyramid-of-Conservation-from-MN-Power.jpg?content-type=image%2Fjpeg FYI, industrial renewables are a whole different animal, because economies of scale become two or three times as significant in reducing the cost per kWHr of industrial applications. I was a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners, certified Solar Thermal Installer 2010-2013. To be certified I had to pass a test more difficult than the EIT exam I passed when I received my mechanical engineering degree. The NABCEP test contained most of the information above. This is the peek behind the curtain of the Great Oz. I will generally say that whenever conspiracy is suspected, it is almost certainly really the result of massive incompetence. Not today. There is a concentrated effort to keep the truth from the American people about how mild COVID really is, and I believe that is partly because the government attorneys are realizing that the government has exposed itself to massive liability for recommending draconian measures to respond to COVID without adequate due diligence to prove an actual threat that justifies it Constitutionally. That is the incompetence part. But that does not explain the extent of the denial of increasing evidence that most deaths reported as COVID have been something else.
