Ever hear of straw men? Democrats use them every time there is an opportunity. Think Mitt Romney, John McCain, Senator Collins, Ross Perot. Those people only called themselves Republicans to derail the intended Republican with an actual Democrat. Their voting records prove it, and someday the evidence proving they were well paid will almost certainly surface. Just another of the dirty tricks and deceptions Democrats use to steal elections. But Cornyn is probably not among them. His voting record proves it. This is a smear job. Democrats founded the KKK. Most members are still Democrats. Remember that.

Geneticists who have analyzed the gene sequence of SARS COV2, which causes COVID-19, are confident of three facts: 1. There are no markers which are unavoidable when genes are spliced (engineered). 2. The forensic path clearly shows a very old gene sequence consistent with a path through bats found in China, but no where near Wuhan. 3. A much more recent forensic path in the gene sequence of the virus shows that it went through the pangolin before jumping to humans. http://virological.org/t/the-proximal-origin-of-sars-cov-2/398 The R-nought value of SARS COV2 is 5.7 in 2.5 days, which tells us that the entire globe was exposed to the virus long before the West was even aware of its existence in China.* And that means social distancing and masks were an attempt to prevent exposure that had already happened. https://www.healthline.com/health/r-nought-reproduction-number Furthermore, 99% of those the virus kills are smokers and people of any age with serious pre-existing conditions. Its possible that the remaining 1% also have pre-existing conditions that are undiagnosed. This is why populations with high concentrations of smokers and illnesses, like Italy, have higher mortality rates than countries like Sweden. See "Multiple Conditions Increase Risk."https://informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/covid-19-coronavirus-infographic-datapack/ So with a case base that could be 2000 times greater than reported right now, that makes the virus 2000 times less dangerous - far less than the common flu. SARS-COV2 is less dangerous to healthy people than driving. Not a very effective biological weapon. Doctors think no disease should be acceptable. And as medical doctors, they may be ignorant of the consequences of political decisions. Does COVID-19 kill people? Yes. The same people who doctors like Dr Fauci should expect to be taken out by the flu and pneumonia, etc, because of other infirmities, every year. 2,046,549 people died in the US last year of all causes except suicide. Around 120,000 are now listed here as dying of COVID-19 in the US, almost all of whom could have been listed as dying of their pre-existing conditions. Note that flu deaths are way down this year. Suspicious? Are the Chinese making the most of all of this? Of course they are. They are pretty good at strategic planning, but it doesn't mean they orchestrated this, sorry. The Christian “church” is actually those in relationship with God as their highest priority, who have also found Scriptural reinforcement and community with others like themselves. Anything else is a social club. Contrite and grateful relationship with God allows the goodness and truth of God to manifest through the faithful. Distraction from Him in any way is immediate loss of the focus on Him, and the ability to manifest God’s gifts - a lot like taking a drink from a firehose and forgetting that it can only be useful if one is extremely careful.

TimTuolomne comments on Jun 17, 2020:
Mental midgets will never comprehend what the President does and knows. Its true that more testing will almost certainly reveal a wider infection base, which is the denominator used to calculate mortality. So more cases means lower mortality. That’s what he means. You can get to the increased likelihood of a larger base of infections by knowing the value of R-nought. It happens to be 5.7 in 2.5 days ( see Information is Beautiful ), and the latency of the virus is proving to be extremely long - possibly 2 months or longer. Those two things put together tell you that the virus was only the second or third fastest moving of all known viruses, and that it hangs around for a very long time - pretty much until everyone has had it. And if you have a brain, you have noticed that no one is dying in the streets. When the truly bad virus comes, that’s what we will see. But you won’t understand any of that if you are a cheap-shot artist, and confuse oversimplifying issues like this for intelligence. Do I think the President should have fired Fauci as part of the Deep State before this happened? Yes, and I wrote to the President to voice that opinion. My hope is that Fauci has some value in prosecuting others in the Deep State, and removing him now might compromise such an effort.
Trump’s first term is almost over. What grade would you give him?
TimTuolomne comments on Jun 17, 2020:
Grading anything is against standards: 1. How other presidents have done in general. Trump rates 95%. 2. Compared to Congress. 100% doesn’t quite cover how much more effective Trump has been than Congress, both by his Constitutional mandate, and his own promises. 3. Foreign policy. 95%, only failing to foresee what the Chinese would do if a novel virus struck. 4. Domestic policy. 95%, for failing to foresee how Congress and the media would distort the truth about virus as an opportunity to sneak more of their agenda by him. Note that he did not exceed his Constitutional mandate in his response. The president does not have much power domestically, a fact which few in the media seem to be aware, and even fewer in the public. His slightly weighted average is 95%, or a solid “A.”

Modern thinkers “...revived the sense of the collective power of human communities. Man, formerly too humble, begins to think of himself as almost a God. In all this I feel a grave danger, the danger of what might be called cosmic impiety. The concept of "truth" as something dependent of facts largely outside human control has been one of the ways in which philosophy hitherto has inculcated the necessary element of humility. When this check upon pride is removed, a further step is taken on the road toward a certain kind of madness - the intoxication of power which invaded philosophy with Fichte, and to which modern men, whether philosophers or not, are prone. I am persuaded that this intoxication is the greatest danger of our time, and that any philosophy which, however unintentionally, contributes to it is increasing the danger of vast social disorder.” - Bertrand Russell.

It is in the best interests of our nation for those of us who have any persuasive power at all to convince everyone that the Libertarians - (who by definition are Constitutionalists in some way, even if they can't exactly agree on which way) should be one of the partners in the two party system, and to convince current Democrats that their leadership couldn't care a sweet fig about their utopia, and only panders to them for power. I have been so hoping for my "white privilege" to kick in, but I'm still working for a living, and not a heck of a lot to show for it. I have no vices, I don't drink or smoke, so there is not much lost in my budget. I could really use some white privilege sometime.

Let our system of justice operate as it was designed to charge and prosecute law breakers. ALL lawbreakers. Not just the ones the Deep State choose. The President is not law enforcement. The States are.

No effort is required for diversity in a Constitutional Republic. Only in Socialism does political correctness divide and punish non-compliant groups. Our original Constitutional Republic protected the rights of INDIVIDUALS. That is no longer true because of so many extra-constitutional rules creating a massive, all-powerful and unaccountable Federal bureaucracy.

The Resist movement is itself a corrosive force toward dissolution of our Republic. It is based on disrespecting the rule of law - for example duly elected officials.

Does the GOP have any future as a national party?
TimTuolomne comments on Jun 11, 2020:
Republicans have always been the party which has had the mission of protecting and defending the Constitution - and nothing like what Democrats say it is. (Democrats say Republicans do what Democrats actually do. Easy to prove by going to news sites not co-opted by Democrats) So as long as there is a Constitution, there will be Republicans. Democrats are the party nearing extinction. Public approval of the Democrat party is at its lowest point in history.

The assertions here don’t completely ring true with me, although I don’t yet have the evidence with which to support a refutation. Here’s what I DO know: Geneticists who have analyzed the gene sequence of SARS COV2, which causes COVID-19, are confident of three facts: 1. See "Multiple Conditions Increase Risk." https://informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/covid-19-coronavirus-infographic-datapack/ So with a case base that could be 2000 times greater than reported right now, that makes the virus 2000 times less dangerous - far less than the common flu. About 115,000 are now listed here as dying of COVID-19 in the US, almost all of whom could have been listed as dying of their pre-existing conditions. Are the Chinese making the most of all of this? Of course they are. They are pretty good at strategic planning, but it doesn't mean they orchestrated this, sorry. Creating a vaccine will be futile if it mutates, and this source asserts it has already happened. Do we want to destroy our nation waiting to find a vaccine that is effective? ...

All one has to do is bother to verify stories by going to original sites. If Democrats say Republicans are racists, go to Republican sites and see what they actually say. Then go to the media for a perspective of their alignment with any particular angle. You may call what you find propaganda. You may not.
