TimTuolomne comments on May 25, 2020:
I know many doctors who agree with this, and none who disagree. This is NOT a pandemic, and not even an epidemic any different than the flu - which we don't call "epidemic" until it has death rates like the Spanish Flu, which killed over 50 million people. The "common" flu kills 5 million people in the World every year - now about the same as COVID-19, and less than half of the annual deaths due to either tuberculosis or hepatitis B. (Have you noticed that flu deaths this year are lower than usual? Might be because they are diagnosed as COVID-19.) The scariest thing to me is not the virus. It is what the government is assuming it has the power to do. We must speak out clearly, loudly, and often to remind the government of the Constitution they pledged to protect and defend, and that you insist that they do. I've already sent dozens of such messages to the President and my Congress people. When the real thing comes along someday and starts to kill almost everyone, REMEMBER those who did their best to panic us about this one. Don't forget to tell them to shut up and stay out of the way when we have bodies to bury. (Hopefully we know enough by then and they will all be in prison.)

The government has absolutely no business in the medical, scientific or business communities. US government involvement in any of those groups is strictly unconstitutional. More importantly, if you have ever dealt with any government employee, you know that the best and the brightest are not there. They are mostly in the private sector, except for the very few I know who actually think the government needs good people and serve unselfishly for the greater good. All of them I know admit that 90% of government employees are disinterested, undisciplined, dishonest and some are power-loving sociopaths. So practicing medicine without a license? I don't think so.

TimTuolomne comments on May 24, 2020:
If you can do the math with the data that is published everywhere, you can figure out that the true mortality rate of COVID-19 for those of us who are not smokers or have any serious underlying conditions is more like .01% (about a tenth of the risk of dying of the flu.) Because of our risk adverse culture, no one who cares to hold onto their political position in WHO nor the CDC is willing to publish anything that might underestimate the risk, so they inflate them so they can't be "wrong." (Except in my eyes, and anyone who can do the math.)

In physics and engineering, we need to know about the big picture and the rules that make everything possible. The exceptions are only important if it possible to use them to avoid risk. In people, there are no useful rules you can come to by studying those who have lost their minds and no longer have any connection to reality. One useful generalization you can come to is that random shootings are done by that kind of person, so studying them has no bearing on preventing them.

What Happens When We Die?
TimTuolomne comments on May 21, 2020:
Give the Holy Bible a look. With the web, its really easy to search by subject. I believe in Scripture, which tells us that we shall be taken from our body here to the root "dimension" of our attached thinner dimension we know as the Universe, by the person of Jesus Christ, who knows everything that happens here, including our deepest thoughts and feelings. And it tells of the history of Jesus Christ on Earth, including his death - unwittingly very well documented by the Romans, his resurrection - also unwittingly assured by the Romans posting guards, and the 500 witnesses who saw Him afterward. Almost all of the Disciples and witnesses were tortured and none relented about what they saw, through the pain of death. If you ever have discussed this with anyone in the military who has had the job of interrogating, you know that EVERYONE who suffers in interrogation will tell you whatever they think you want to hear. None of Jesus' witnesses did. There has never been that kind of support of any other belief in human history. I truly admire those who come to this by faith. I did not. As an engineer, I came to this by skepticism. I know the physics that shows us the likely possibility that our universe is merely a "crucible" that was created for the sole purpose of bringing us to sentience, a little bit like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, with no knowledge of what is to come.

TimTuolomne comments on May 20, 2020:
There is almost no one still alive who still remembers what life in America was like before 1942, when the first leg of the Constitution was removed in the unconstitutional decision Wickard v Filburn, which made the Commerce Clause null and void, allowing the creation of a government bureaucracy for the first time. That first bureaucracy could unilaterally tell farmers what they could and could not grow, and there was no recourse. For the first time in history, Constitutional protection of individuals was no longer guaranteed. The Supreme Court was threatened with removal by Franklin D. Roosevelt if they failed to abandon the Commerce Clause. Also unconstitutional, but instead of impeaching FDR and removing him from office for treason, Congress did nothing, and the people were silent. Hundreds of decisions and congressional acts later, American have absolutely no idea what it was like to be protected from their government by the US Constitution. In 1981 Congress passed the LRRA to "regulate" the insurance industry. The result? insurance rates quadrupled overnight as 276 insurance companies were driven out of business, and competion disappeared. Did the public demand that Congress repeal the Act? No. Congress' answer: Obamacare. Insurance rates tripled. Public outcry? Not a peep. Congress admitting its mistakes? NOPE. And the main casualty is that American medical care, once the envy of the World became second rate. Does anyone suggest returning to the free market for insurance and medical care? Nope. That would cause competition, a drastic reduction of insurance rates, and a return to medicine in the US to being the envy of the World. The public response? "Lets try socialism. That will fix everything." Does history support that theory? Nope. Are Americans concerned about that direction, and the utter destruction of Constitutional America? Apparently not.

When is someone expressing anti-Semitism?
TimTuolomne comments on May 19, 2020:
Labels are judgments. We must use discernment in life, however when we cross our own boundary into an area beyond our own authority, we are inherently infringing on others' rights. We are the first to recognize it when it happens to us, but also tend to overlook it when we ourselves judge. The "woke" culture is based on judging others; crossing civil boundaries, with the socialist intent of destroying civil society as a way of discrediting whatever system opposes socialism, and promising it will be a civil society when socialism is established. Anyone who can think understands both the destructiveness of socialism - for which socialists avoid responsibility, and which is necessary to them or we wouldn't accept it as a system, and that there is no guarantee of civil society when they win. History proves that endlessly.

Hadith 9-5, among many others, calls for the displacement or death of infidels. A bit like the Christian "Old Testament," that was tells us who WE are. The New Testament is the current call to Christians, that tells us who God is, and ONLY calls for us to love ALL humans. Hadith 9-5 is among Mohammed's last words, and is the CURRENT active call to Muslims. And Taqiyya is their call to lie to promote of Islam. Islam has killed more human beings in history than any other force, disease, philosophy, dictator or country. Sharia is totally inconsistent with our Constitution. ALL true believer Muslims must be deported. Not only “violent” Muslims are dangerous!
This was a dog training video I created back in 2009.
TimTuolomne comments on May 18, 2020:
My Dad has a dog that is not housebroken. He says its because he wants it to be "natural." I encouraged him to let the dog go in that case, but that if a dog lives with a human, the dog doesn't know what a human is, so the human must understand what the dog is. He said that he sent the dog to doggie school but that it didn't work. I asked if he went too. He said "no." I said that doggie school is not for the dog. Its for the owner. Until you understand what motivates the dog, you can't make him happy. Your dog is neurotic, because he is not with a pack that makes dog sense. Reward him with attention and presence when he does what you want. Do not speak to him and don't be around him when he doesn't. That's pack language. It will make sense to him and he will be secure in his place in the pack. A dog hears yelling as barking, so he often answers by barking, or doing whatever he wants if you yell all the time. People who scream at their dogs and expect results have no idea what a dog is. Your dog is not happy if you treat him like a human. Trust me. Treating your dog like a human is almost as foolish as speaking English to a Parisian and being annoyed that it doesn't work.

RE: Our day to day interaction with society. From organizational psychology we know that accountability utterly disappears in human groups over a few thousand souls. Small communities are inherently accountable, and to some degree we have the freedom to associate with or not associate with the best "tribe" we can find that will agree to take us in. If we are lucky, we are born to families who understand unconditional love, we learn to not take ourselves too seriously, and then maybe grow up to be constructive in our tribe. The sense of dedication and purpose in our tribe can blunt the suffering inherent in life. However there is no replacement for the dedication and love to be found in small communities with integrity. And there is no other solution. “Hillary Clinton said you know, it takes a village to raise a child and somebody said it takes a village idiot to believe that … it is part of the whole thing of third parties wanting to make decisions for which they pay no price for when they’re wrong.” ― Thomas Sowell. “The transformation of charity into legal entitlement has produced donors without love, and recipients without gratitude.” - Justice Antonin Scalia. Those who are insecure will never find happiness. One big reason is that they will try to seek to control their lives and those around them, and that deprives everyone around them their basic right to respect and freedom to do as they wish and need. Control freaks like that are among those in politics, for example, who would try to impose greater government and tyranny. Their endemic insecurity is so much a part of their judgment of the world, that they can't understand that it is wrong when it deprives everyone else of their own dignity. “The problem is that many bitter people don't know they are bitter. Since they are so convinced that they are right, they can't see their own wrong in the mirror. And the longer the root of bitterness grows, the more difficult it is to remove.” - Craig Groeschel, Soul Detox: Clean Living in a Contaminated World. Emotional immaturity: The thing that transcends all faiths, beliefs, and political affiliations; the inability to accept another's truth, and the unrestrained judgment that results. Maturity allows better listening, as we are secure in our own truths, and what we know beyond ourselves. We have no need to defend ourselves, or what we know. So we are not offended by anything. And we are not motivated to condemn anyone else, unless it is to agree as a juror in a court of law, and even then it isn't personal. It is a matter of required social responsibility. And we have no need to speak, unless it is necessary to move our agenda forward. And that agenda is firstly God (including atheism, which is a ...

Every time "hate crime" aggravation is added to something that is already illegal, it is for one purpose: to bring into "law" the possibility of charge without recourse; essentially guilt assumed, not innocence. There is a line that is crossed whenever anyone gets to accuse as if they know the intent of another, and no corroboration is required. This is unmistakably a full step into tyranny.

She said very casually: “This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.” She even restated that goal ensuring it was not a mistake: “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

Political Parties in the United States [en.wikipedia.org]
TimTuolomne comments on May 14, 2020:
Wikipedia calls Democrats the party of "Liberalism," which is incorrect. Liberal means to liberate, as in promote individual rights. Today's Democrat party is about as socialist as it can get, which promotes destroying the Constitution, which is at the expense of individual rights.
Supporting communism is not a right wing position.
TimTuolomne comments on May 14, 2020:
Ramzpaul is making sense. 1. There are basically two philosophies of governance: Individual rights, versus social order. 2. Our Constitution originally was written to protect individual rights. And our country was as full of opportunity at the expense of order. We were a chaotic nation that grew powerful and wealthy. 3. Those seeking order gradually crippled the Constitution while the rest of us were not paying attention, so now we are instead a vast unaccountable Federal bureaucracy, over which we have no recourse. We have drifted toward a socialist state without anyone noticing. 4. Socialist states are based on order at the expense of individual rights. None have ever started independently. Every socialist state had to start with a thriving capitalist state, which socialism then ALWAYS drives into poverty, suffering and death. ALWAYS. Those who claim there are successful socialist states, are lying to you so you will think its OK. There are socialist states like ours, which still depend on capitalistic commerce to stay viable economically. The more socialist we become, the less economically stable we become. "All socialist regimes fail as production inevitably ceases, and the resources built by capitalism are squandered on dachas for the privileged."
Are you struggling as I am to define this faceless enemy that threatens the world today?
TimTuolomne comments on May 13, 2020:
From the beginning of humanity, it has always been those seeking order at the expense of Liberty. Now that we have finally discovered the technology of a just system of governance, which makes moot the question of the quality of leadership, this same faction of humanity wishes to destroy it, as it has every other system since the beginning, rationalizing that they are the smartest generation and now know what they are doing. They will use any tactic including lie, defraud, destroy and kill because they are deluded into thinking that it is in our best interests, and we would not vote for it any other way - which is the only thing they get right. So they are willing to make any invisible thing a threat, because we can't prove they are wrong. Climate Change, right-wing extremism (if you check law enforcement data on them, they are a tiny minority anywhere) racism, the "religious right," and now the virus. The latest version of the common cold has us screaming into the night, which is no more deadly than "a bad flu year," according to doctors across the country. When they promise you everything, they are the bad guys. Vote them out, with prejudice. Vote in those not willing to say anything to stay in office. If you're smart, you know the difference.

Sorry, knowledge is no longer power. An OMB study showed that 27% of the Internet was accurate. Probably far less now. It is the modern equivalent of the mystical Dark Ages, when so few people knew anything that practically everyone distrusted anyone who actually did know something, and maybe even burnt them at the stake. Does any of this have the feel of what is happening today? It should. You can find websites declaring successful alchemy, lead into gold. Plastic outlet plugs that claim to cut your power usage in half. No. Society is not smarter. Just the opposite. And most of those in power are not smarter either. The virus is the perfect example. But they are smart enough to take advantage of your fears, because you don’t believe anything they say, which means that’s all they have left, is to try to scare the cr*p out of you. Remember its just a game to the power hungry. Those who aren’t promising you everything are the ones who are actually in office to make a positive difference. It may not be rocket science, but they are all we need.

The state of America today is entirely different that what it would have been under a vast Federal Bureaucracy, but no one knows what we are missing, so it just seems normal. That bureaucracy was born in 1942 when the Supreme Court was bullied into an unconstitutional decision that allowed the government to tell farmers what they could and could not grow, and that set the stage for every other unaccountable Federal bureaucracy to tell us how to live our lives, with no recourse. So was Brzinsky right? No, because the American public has become so distrustful of “experts” that it disbelieves ALL of them. And that is because we now are powerless under our government, and not happy about it. Vote for a Convention of States, to reset the Constitution. When we win, you will not believe how amazing our nation can be again.

Yeah, and by the way, have you figured out how much that “Hope and Change” is costing you yet? When you get around to it, you’ll find out that your cost of living and taxes went up by 3 times. And are you more secure? Less, right? Do you have something to show for it? I don’t. Vote for those who believe that less government is better. It ought to be plenty obvious by now.
There isn't a political authority I respect today.
TimTuolomne comments on May 13, 2020:
I’ve been around a while, and I’ve seen the same things repeat many times in my life. The most common are the control freaks trying to fix what works well enough, then blaming everyone else when they break it beyond repair, leaving those of us who were not suffering too badly to clean up the mess and begin to suffer badly because of the cost. So lumping all politicians as the same is not helpful. But when you vote for the ones who promise you everything you want, I guarantee those are the bad guys. Don’t crucify the ones who are trying to preserve what works. They are the ones who might save you a lot of heartache in the end. Trust government? No. But you do need government to protect you. The Constitution is why we are not Somalia. So defend it. And kick out the ones who think there should be something better. Smarter people in history than we, have been convinced there was something better and been wrong, and people suffered and died. Don’t think that is impossible here. We are no different. Let me say that again: We are no different.
Let's dust off a comparison the left is all too fond of using.

Watergate was a coverup not so much by Republicans, but by the media. Anyone interested should read the transcripts of Liddy v. Dean to find out. That case reveals the media mudslinging that almost completely covered up the truth of the Watergate scandal. Its a public record. And Dean was found guilty of masterminding the Watergate break-in without Nixon's knowledge. Liddy sued Dean, because Dean tried to throw Liddy under the bus as responsible. The reason that is important today, is that the media - which the New York Times proudly reported are 87% Democrat, found it could shape the narrative and convince the voter base of almost anything. So today the media is unapologetically doing so, as if it is their actual job. And I have spoken to "journalists" who actually feel it is their duty to steer people to believe as they do, because they are so sure they know what is true, and others don't.
