Shame because nurses are one of the few professions who do actual work in the global north and are a source of leftist energy. @Hanno I doubt you can even define CRT. The BLM activists in my community haven't even studied CRT. Most activists don't know what it is. How can that be anything but a dog whistle? According to a conservative activist, CRT is being taught at hundreds of schools. https://nypost.com/2021/02/05/website-tracks-where-critical-race-theory-taught-at-us-schools/ I'm sure he uses the dog whistle definition, but that is on the order of 100 compared to on the order of at least 1,000,000 children who are sexually abused by their teachers. For reference there are on the order of 10 states where state laws can be passed.

@Hanno "There are more laws against teachers sexually abusing kids than schools sexually abusing kids" For starters, this is false. Which brings our discourse back to desegregation in the US, no foreign case studies needed.

@govols How can I be more clear? My original comment stated that meritocracy, the subject of the meme in the original post, does not exist (and is liberal). With the first word ("No") of your response, you disagreed. I countered with the example of Bill Gates, one of the most powerful figures in the liberal establishment, which purports to be a meritocracy. A meritocracy implies a society that rewards people according to their abilities, with the implication that there is opportunity for most people willing to work hard enough to become skilled. So my example mentioned how Gates's success did not come from hard work. And to be clear, it had nothing to do with his ability, whether you think that is innate or the result of hard work. You also expressed opposition to the ideas of "equality and blank slate theory," which had nothing to do with what I wrote, aside from perhaps the implication that society is (or should be?) a meritocracy based on innate ability rather equal opportunity. To that, I countered by mentioning how Gates's success did not come from his genes.

It goes to show that gun rights only truly exist for the dominant social group (largely conservative white men of the petit bourgeoisie) whose acts of terrorism have the tacit support of the state because they serve to maintain the status quo hierarchy--a.k.a. "law and order." Also minorities are inherently vulnerable to this sort of thing based on having fewer numbers alone.

It has nothing to do with the specific theory that goes by that name and everything to do with dog whistling opposition to any study, speech, or policy that advances civil rights. WilyRickWiles replies on Jun 1, 2021:
@FrankZeleniuk In most of the world, the US has hegemony over capitalism. There, corporate elites control government. And private business interests contest them for control. They are likely to win eventually, and that will put government into even fewer hands. In China, it is controlled by a formal party, but the differences between that and the corporate policy planning network are small in the grand scheme of things. They both plan, manage, and concern themselves with the same interests: extracting resources from the global south and accumulating and managing assets in the global north. The corporate elite controls most NGOs. The UN seems to be fading except to the extent it serves the corporate elite (who often prefer their own orgs like WEF). The corporate elite largely manage publicly traded companies and have a liberal tradition (including philanthropy) whereas neither is true of private business interests. Often the latter operate strictly to the benefit of immediate family. Moreover, they might be confined to a specific region or not have as much financial flexibility as a publicly traded corporation. Hence the jealousy of regulation and finance. Their base is the petit bourgeois whereas the corporate base is the professional managerial class. Mere planning does not socialism make.
