Why do many Leftists fervently believe Trump is a reincarnation of Hitler?
coalburned comments on Jul 27, 2020:
Nazi/Hitler is just a label carelessly thrown on Trump by people who hate him. It's a childish tactic people use for shock value and attention. I'm guessing about 1 in every 1000 people truly think there's a legitimate comparison, and the other 999, whether they like Trump or not, know what this is really all about.
Is it Time for Civil Disobedience?
coalburned comments on Jul 27, 2020:
That's an article I can fully appreciate. I agree completely that the choice to disobey this particular mandate should not divide Christians. While I side with following the mandate for now, the ONLY reason I do is because we're talking about the possibility of spreading the virus to older people who are not well equipped to handle it. And, as those close to me can tell you, I'm following the mandate begrudgingly. I feel like we're being played and misled, but at the same time we're talking about a virus I can't afford to bring into my home. Nice job of presenting both sides.
Some of the tweets attached to the following article have videos, be sure to watch them.

I think many youth have missed an important life lesson....actions have consequences. We're talking about the participation-trophy-no-child-left-behind generation here. I honestly think most of them have had very little discipline and structure at home, and have to a large degree been raised by a progressive/leftist public education system. This doesn't excuse their behavior by any means, but someone or some event is going to have to open their eyes. The concern I have is how much damage they will do to themselves and/or others before that happens.

Is it fair to call AOC a "Fucking Bitch"?
coalburned comments on Jul 24, 2020:
Tthere are too many nuances here, so I'll ignore your write-up and just focus on the question asked. Is it fair? Yes. AOC is a public figure who provokes her opposition and if you poke the bear, you're going to get clawed. HOWEVER...is it right to call her a vulgar name? No. If Yoho did indeed call her that, I think that's wrong. But AOC is to blame for being a thin-skinned crybaby if she did indeed criticize him or complain about being taken to task for her position. Call it a draw and go back to your high-chairs, kids.

Not that they have a corner on that market, by the way.... Systemic racism is one of the worst lies propagated by the media and politicians. Don't get me wrong... We have many systems that enable racism. But racism isn't confined to one particular group of people. Far from it. Every creed, color, gender, and "tribe" (dear God I hate that word) has to deal with it because within those systems you have that one corrupt common denominator....human beings.

I just want to understand why people hate her so fucking much.
coalburned comments on Jul 23, 2020:
Because she's more of a threat than Trump. Candace is smart, intelligent, articulate, young, black, and conservative. That has to scare the hell out of the Left. She's never shot herself in the foot. When she speaks, she comes off well-prepared, knowledgeable, and confident. She has no problem taking on opposing views. But most of all, I think people hate her because she's black, and being very attractive probably chafes a lot of people, too. See, the Left has had the black community at large in their back pocket for decades. You're starting to see more and more blacks show their conservative leanings (I'm sure Larry Elder and Kevin at Kevin's Corner get a lot of hate, too). And my guess is, once they're in the voting booth, an ever-increasing number of blacks are voting along conservative lines. So someone like Candace, who speaks a lot of truth, is a huge threat to the Left, which is completely over-matched when it comes to challenging her, and we know what they do when that happens....they spew hatred, labels, lies, and fake news.

I think BLM is gradually being exposed for the fraud it is, but will that exposure continue until November? I hope so because although the organization itself is just a Marxist front, there's no question it has spawned a movement that is proving to be one of those turning points for not only the U.S. but pretty much every English-speaking country. Decent folks know black lives matter, but the BLM organization is exploiting rare incidents involving blacks and police (and in a way are exploiting blacks in general) to push their narrative of oppression and injustice, while offering virtually nothing in the way of practical solutions for the black community.

I read something yesterday about the way attempts at peer pressure never really end. What you describe here is a perfect example, and in the extreme, it's socio-psychological bullying. Our gut response should be to simply reject what we know is wrong, yet for some reason we think we'll somehow win over the other side by being decent and compliant. Talk about wrongthink... This is a concern I've tried to shove to the back of my mind, but it won't go away because I can't make sense out of the nonsense. We know we've been misled (lied to?) about the number of actual deaths from covid. Few if any places mandated masks when the presumed death toll was at its peak, but here we are with deaths declining and....we're being forced to wear masks, even though we're also told it's an ordinance that, while enforceable, is very difficult to enforce. No one has to wear a mask proven to be effective...anything will do. But that makes sense, too, because no one has been able to prove that masks are all that effective anyway. Oh, and it's ok if you don't wear it properly...it's ok if it doesn't cover your mouth or your nose. You can even have it down around your throat from what I've seen. I guess as long as you look like you're doing what you're told, you'll be fine. So yeah, I'm more than a little skeptical about what's going on. It's impossible for me not to wonder if we're being tested to see how compliant we are. For what purpose is hard to say, but let's see what happens if and when a vaccine becomes available.

I don't know who started it, and I know there are lots of theories out there, but it's been going on for a while.
