I've often wondered if something like this was in the works. I'm not into conspiracy theories, but perhaps she's right...this isn't a theory? When i consider things like the impact of proposed global warming policies, which would force mass movement of people into larger cities, and the impact of 5G technology, which will make it simple for government to track every move we make outside our own home, I can't help but think rural living could become a thing of the past, save for those who can live off the grid. Once all population is concentrated in major areas we become much easier to control. I don't see it happening in my lifetime, but my grandkids might.

It's unfortunate we're at a point where it's fair to assume that most of what we hear from the MSM is framed by their hatred of Trump in particular, and the right in general. Of course it's possible she's being coached and I'm sure many would make that claim, but she makes some good points. One thing the Left needs to do is stop referring to folks like myself as climate change deniers. I don't deny the climate is changing, nor do I personally know anyone who thinks it isn't. It has, it is, and it always will. I also don't know a single person who thinks we can carelessly ignore environmental concerns or misuse our natural resources. Climate change hysteria, at its core, is about extending the level of govt control over our lives. That's what folks like myself are truly concerned about.

coalburned comments on Jan 12, 2020:
Vegan is a lifestyle, not a religion. If it's given protected status because someone throws the word "ethical" in front of it, that's nonsense. What's the basis for declaring it to be ethical? Let's face it...at least half the world believes ethics are situational. A case could be made for virtually any -ism including racism. Let's see if PETA seeks religious status.

Good article. Maybe one of the reasons the left hates Trump is because he's beating them at their own game? The article touches on many of my thoughts about Trump. Many appreciate his tactics, but I'm one of those saddened by his stooping down to the level of his opponent. Alinsky and his ilk were/are a collective pile of excrement imo. Why join them? On one hand I can't argue that it's worked. But on the other, I've always had a difficult time with the end justifying the means. Maybe these are times that call for an exception, but are we on the verge of throwing civility out the window? Have we already?

The Dems hatred of Trump would be comical if not for the fact we're taking about our country and it's future. What they're doing is setting a very ugly precedent. When facts matter little, and partisanship rules the day, collapse of our system can't be far behind. These people have been obsrssed with proving Trump's win was some sort of mirage, and the only way he could have possibly one was due to some sort of malfeasance. They've been trying to undermine and sabotage the presidency ever since. I've never seen people at this level so desperate. But, get used to it. I figure the Dems will continue this charade and beat their drums as loud as possible in hopes they can disrupt Trump's campaign and cobble enough votes from the folks who fail to properly vet the garbage they're fed by the MSM to win 2020 with whichever weak-ass candidate they come up with. And if Trump wins again, buckle up.

coalburned comments on Nov 10, 2019:
My guess is very few deny our climate is changing. The questions I have reflect my cynicism about climate hysteria. I'm not convinced the Earth hasn't gone through cycles like this for eons. Too many reputable scientists refute the "solid science" behind climate change. And no way in hell do I trust governments to fix the problem. I firmly believe there's an agenda in play. I'm not smart enough to know what it is, but the climate industry is worth many billions of dollars globally, so I'd be a fool to think there aren't certain "forces" that have a vested interest in keeping their foot on the pedal when it comes to climate change.

It's virtually impossible to envision a global energy plan that doesn't rely on atomic and carbon-based sources. If those are deemed not viable, then the only way to meet the world's energy needs is to reduce demand. I don't see any way human population will decline. Slowed, yes, but decline, no. So that leaves us with the literally impossible...a massive, radical change in human lifestyles. We know that will never happen.
