What does are you think? πŸ˜‚
jaymaron comments on Jan 16, 2021:
A pendulum precesses counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere. Precession proves that the Earth is spinning. If the Earth were a flat spinning disk, the rate of pendulum precession is independent of location on the disk. If it is a sphere then precession is faster the closer you get to the poles. There is no precession at the equator. The fact that a pendulum precesses in opposite directions in the north and south hemisphere implies that if the Earth is a flat disk, then both sides must be inhabited. There must then be an edge somewhere. Where is it? Focault made these discoveries in 1851. There's no reason that this couldn't have happened in Ancient Greece.
Peak delusion. Inauguration themed as "America United". [breitbart.com]

Trump's inauguration drew a bigly crowd. Democrats passed around fake pictures to try to create the impression that the crowd was small, and then they weaponized this fake news to attack Trump. Make it bite them in the ass. Trump should hold a rally at the same time as the inauguration and out-crowd Biden. That undercuts Biden's unity claim. Every time Biden gives a speech, Trump should hold a rally. Every time Biden appears, a phalanx of conservative reporters should show up and demand a press conference. If he doesn't, then the reporters can make a big show and protest.

This is maximum scary. Now that the oligarchy can destroy any chat board, we need a way to independently manage our own social media connections. You need a unique identity and your own website. This can be done by buying a domain name. It should be hosted outside the USA, in a MAGA-friendly country. The oligarchy can crush this by blocking the Domain Name Servers. If they do this, there will no longer be a way to communicate through the web. We'll have to resort to ham radios and messenger pigeons. The left will attack domains by flooding them with traffic, to compel the host to drop the hosting. It may be necessary to whitelist traffic to your site. DNS blocking is a matter upon which a firm stand must be made. The left *will* attack domains. The left will attempt to control traffic to sites outside the USA. We will have to use encryption and onion routing (Tor). The left will outlaw these fine 2nd-amendment style tools.
How many good friends do you have from other political tribes?
jaymaron comments on Jan 15, 2021:
We used to choose friends based on things like charm, amiability, charisma, wittiness, friendliness, benevolence, and team spirit. Some people still do, and others base friendships on ideology. I'd rather hang out with fun people. Republicans should launch a charm offensive. Outparty your foes. Hold Tea Parties and make funny memes. We used to value people by their contributions to society. Today, leftists fire great teachers if they have the wrong ideology. In Atlas Shrugged, the Galt speech tackles this. We need a Galt speech. Martin Luther King's speech has similar spirit. "Content of their Character". Newt Gingrich is a history professor and he spices up his lectures with history stories. I find people who know history to be fun to chat with. We could make the IDW secret handshake "Knowledge of history". This could used to sort out infiltrators at MAGA rallies. Rally attendance requires passing a history test. Let's have so many Tea Parties that the left will try to ban the word tea.

We need an open source operating system, such as linux. Trouble is, the major networks exlude such operating systems. Getting a phone on a major network requires Android or Apple,. You often find that you can't change networks because other networks don't support the phone. Phones and networks are entangled the way hardware and operating systems are entangled. The following should all be independent: Phone hardware Phone operating system (and App store) Phone network Android resists attempts to install linux. On an iPhone it's impossible to turn it into a fully-functioning computer. Having your phone enslaved to a proprietary App store is equivalent to entangling the hardware and operating system. It means you can't write and execute your own program on the phone. Programming is one of the greatest achievements of technology and it's been thrown away. ChromeOS has stern measures preventing you from writing and executing your own programs. It doesn't even let you access a filesystem. Even if you could get a program to run, you can't write the results. You can't read data. It's just evil. It doesn't want you to do cool things. I worry that the phone companies will discriminate politically. This is analogous to the killing of Parler.

jaymaron comments on Jan 14, 2021:
Quite a reasonable hypothesis, that the Capitol Tea Party was an ingenious cover for a heist. Live by the leak, die by the leak. Democrats embrace leaks, even illegal ones that threaten national security. Comey, the FBI director, leaked to the New York Times. They lied to the FISA court to spy on the Trump campaign. Therefore Pelosi's laptop is fair game. Leak it! Democrats resist FOIA requests. Call it a FOIA request. Pelosi should be charged with a national security foul for allowing her laptop to get filched. A true American soldier would have defended the laptop with her life. Charge Pelosi with war cowardice. Since Democrats invoked the 25th amendment, make it bite them in the ass. Invoke the 25th amendment on Biden every day. Most Democrat attacks bounce off the hypocrisy mirror. After the Capitol Tea Party, Democrats crybullied. They claimed that the party was a violent red card nuclear escalation insurrection, and they used this to justify attacks on Republicans of far greater magnitude. Call them out on the crybullying. The issue is not the Capitol Tea Party. The issue is the Democrat crybullying escalation. Democrats are on record for inciting violence, therefore they do not possess the moral high ground and their criticism of the Capitol Tea Party carries no weight. Every time anyone criticizes the party, swiftly rattle off a list of Democrat fouls. There is a Clancy novel called "Executive Orders", where a foreign power attacked America with ebola, and the president had to make hard decisions about the level of lockdown. Baffling that this book isn't more often invoked. It also contains a detailed description of how the Secret Service works. Paraphrasing Gingrich: If the events of 2015-2020 were written up into a novel and submitted to a publisher in 2014, the novel would have been rejected as unrealistic.

It is my belief that in the United States of America, we should have a second constitution.
jaymaron comments on Jan 13, 2021:
The Roman Republic had a mechanism for balancing the tradeoff between government power and individual liberty. It had two modes: senate mode and dictator mode. It was usually in senate mode, and the constitution was rich in checks and balances. Most offices were elected, had a term of 1 year and couldn't be repeated. The Senate had the power to appoint a dictator. On occasion Rome was in dicator mode, and this was necessary because if they hadn't been, invaders would have conquered them. The dictator tended to be a fellow who was renowned for winning. Upon winning the war the dictator would resign and Rome would return to senate mode. Cincinnatus was appointed dictator because Rome was about to be conquered. Cincinnatus defeated the invaders and resigned the dictatorship 15 days after being appointed. He returned to his farm. Back in the day, most retiring American presidents returned to their farms. I propose an amendment to the American constitution: Retiring presidents must farm. There may be instances where it's good to let rich people run government. At present, campaign money goes to advertising firms and media networks, not the peasants. Make the politicians spend money on the peasants. For example, offer a rich person a term as mayor if he drops 10 million dollars in the city treasury. Watchdog him, of course, but let him use the office to help his businesses, otherwise he won't drop the donation. Just make sure that his profits are less than his donation. If he donates 10 mil and makes 5 mil, the city wins. Treat the rich mayor like a celebrity. Make him feel welcome. Name a street after him. Want another term? You can have it if you drop another 10 mil.
It is my belief that in the United States of America, we should have a second constitution.
jaymaron comments on Jan 13, 2021:
Fair competition and free market choice forces entities to deliver a good product. Let's have competition among constitutions. When has there been competition among constitutions? The Founding Fathers at the Constitutional Convention were obliged to produce a good constitution, to induce states to ratify it. The Union was nice to the states to induce them to join. For many states, The Union paid off the state's debt as a reward for joining. Modern Democrats don't think: "How can The Fed serve the states". They think: "How can states serve The Fed?" Texas was once under the Mexican constitution and they must not have liked it, because they fought a war to gain independence. They must have thought the American constitution was cool because they voluntarily joined The Union. Utah is a rare territory that chose independence over statehood. Didn't last, but it was a bold move. Poland was inspired by the American constitution and adopted a similar constitution in 1791. Alas, it lasted only 2 years because Poland was conquered. The French revolution also had available to them the wisdom of the American constitution but they failed to harness it, resulting in a return to dictatorship. A smart nation would adjust its constitution to make it friendly to rich people, and start importing rich people. This puts pressure on nations with lame constitutions. Fair competition among constitutions requires the option of secession. In Ancient Greece there was no federal government. City states were independent and they formed voluntary associations with other city states called leagues. The earliest constitutions had great ideas. These were the Roman Republic, Sparta, and Athens. A common feature was that most offices had a term of 1 year and they couldn't be repeated. Discussion of the ancient constitutions: jaymaron.com/history.html https://www.jaymaron.com/history.html A measure of the success of a president is his record for busting monopolies. Teddy stands out as the hero. Modern Democrats bend the knee to monopolies. A government is only as intelligent as its voters. Voters should support politicians that bust monopolies.

How can we channel the spirit of the 2nd amendment for communications? Free speech platforms are under attack and it seems we have to shift to having a private web page. Manage your social media connections yourself. Build your own friends list with links to other private web pages. Conduct your newsfeed yourself, and with a private web page you have total control over customizing your feed. No ads! Your private web page has to be hosted outside the USA, in a MAGA-friendly country. Otherwise it will be deplatformed. We can expect that the oligarchy will respond by building an internet wall around the USA. We also need servers outside the USA to host large-scale chats. We need a smartphone that accepts an open-source operating system. Android and Apple will kill any free-speech communication app. The left may even attack communications within the USA. We need ham radios and walkie talkies, and they should have encryption. The left will likely respond with jamming. Love the messenger pigeon. We need a unifying chat client. Meebo was a chat client that unified all other chat clients. It packed into one tidy window all of Yahoo, MSN, AIM, ICQ, MySpaceIM, Facebook Chat, and Google Talk. It was rich in features, such as chat rooms. Google acquired Meebo in 2012 and killed it, assigning the programmers to Google+ chat. Google shut down Google+ in 2019.

"Musical Gloves" MI·MU – Music Through Movement
jaymaron comments on Jan 11, 2021:
I say that this is bull. Gloves are a fundamentally limited instrument and a violin is a sensitive rich instrument. You can't deliver precise timing by waving a hand around. You can only deliver precise timing by bringing two objects together, such as a violin bow striking a string. Also, you can deliver subtlety because you can control the pressure of the bow on the string. An accordion is more subtle than a piano because you can control the volume during the note. This is also why a violin is more subtle than a guitar. A complex instrument requires that two different objects come in contact with each other, and that it be sensitive to the contact timing and pressure. It takes years to learn violin and it takes only a day to learn gloves. This is a clue that gloves have limited potential.

jaymaron comments on Jan 9, 2021:
It's a cheap attempt to justify the ban. Apple wants too create the impression that Parler is already guilty of something. Parler should fight back and state that they are not. Google killed the android Parler app. Amazon hosts the Parler servers and it's threatening to reneg on its contract and turn the Parler servers off. Parler will not survive this. There is no way to overturn the Google ban, and even if Apple doesn't ban the Parler app, they can perpetually threaten Parler with a ban and use it to bully Parler. What free speech platforms remain? Any other than IDW? Democrats are working hard to create the impression that Republicans are Nazis. This has to be fought. Turn it around. Law of censorship: Whoever is censoring is the Nazi. Any platform is now at the mercy of the Democrat government. I predict that all free speech platforms will be killed. The only way out is to channel the spirit of the 2nd amendment. Everyone should have their own private web page and then they can manage their friends list and newsfeed by themselves. Total control. The facebook interface is weak and better is possible. Facebook gives you little control over your newsfeed. We should have total control. And furthermore the ability to customize it to any degree.

During the 2016 campaign, Trump made the brilliant move of skipping one of the debates, and it was noted that ratings were way down for that debate. CookieMonster pointed out that the Capitol rally was a meme mother load. Win the humor war. Make a highlight reel of memes and videos. Make a highlight reel of violence at leftist protests. It's not a protest, it's a rally. MAGA rallies. A rally needs a leader to be effective. Appoint a Rally Marshall. Have a command center to coordinate the rally, with lots of cameras streaming to the command center. Get the internet crowd involved. In a sports broadcast, there is a crew examining the camera feeds and selecting which one to broadcast. A leader is necessary to enforce a policy of non-violence. Make it policy to excommunicate anyone who initiates violence. Not that leftist rallies are leaderless and they have no mechanism to enforce nonviolence. Praise Martin Luther King for the fact that he had control over his rally and he kept it nonviolent. Have a MAGA buddy system, so that MAGAs can be distinguished from infiltrators. Stream video to a command center where there is a team identifying MAGAs and infiltrators. If an infiltrator is identified, loudly point it out. Keep a database of violent leftists and Antifa members. Rally often. Make it a party. Make rallies a part of MAGA social life. Rally in iconic locations. Seizing the Capitol was glorious. Best party since the Boston Tea Party. Let's call it the Capitol Tea Party. Be seen. Parade around cities so that democrats see it. Make sound. It's a fine sports skill to be able to induce an opposing player into committing a penalty. Also, it only counts if the refs see it. Many policemen are MAGA sympathizers. Get them in on it. There are videos from the Capitol Tea Party where policemen encouraged ralliers to storm the Capitol, and then joined them. Carry chalk and engage in MAGA graffiti. Everybody gets to protest. It's a fundamental human right. Bernie Sanders said so. Leftists are protest apartheidists. They say that only leftists protests count. What counts is the difference between the protests. Leftists protesters think: what statue can I destroy? MAGA protesters think: how can I make a funny meme? How many statues were destroyed by leftists? How many stores were looted? Lots! Did the MAGA protesters destroy statues? No. They posed for hilarious memes. Did they loot? No. They were too busy partying. This was the best party since the Boston Tea Party. Ignore moral supremacists. Better bet is to go with funny people. On the web you will find many articles by comedians stating that leftism killed comedy. Who would you rather be around, people that glorify other people, or people who attack other people? Would you rather be around optimistic or pessimistic people? Would you rather be around people that destroy or build? If America collapses I'm moving to an Amish community.

Next time you encounter leftists, dare them to explain who Grace Hopper is. You will find that few leftists have heard of her. Admiral in the U.S. Navy. Computer programmer in the 1940s, just after electronic computers were invented. Invented the first compiled programming language, COBOL. Before that, you had to write in assembly language. Hopper made the lives of programmers easier. Ph.D in mathematics from Yale. Yale is a superpower of mathematics. That's a hard grad school to get in to. Professor of mathematics at Vassar College The Navy has a destroyer named the USS Hopper Next time someone says: "Men can't handle a woman in power", just say Margaret Thatcher! Upon the bookshelves of conservatives you will find Thatcher biographies. Dare leftists to produce anecdotes about Thatcher. Next time someone says: We need more female politicians, just say Ann Coulter for president! My father was a programmer in the punch card era. Back then, programmers knew how to milk the most out of limited memory and Flops, and they didn't need a monitor. You had to be able to write bug-free code, because you were writing with punch cards. Modern programmers lost this art.

This is a coup. Facebook is usurping presidential power. You can't let this precedent happen. We will see an avalanche of coups. If this scenario happens, leftists will of course crybully. In general, in any given country, there will be a faction favoring independence and a faction favoring bending the knee to a foreign power. Why does a knee-bending faction exist? Because the foreign power gives them stuff. The knee-benders tend to have an advantage over the patriots. Once upon a time Iceland was independent, but a faction emerged that favored bending the knee to Norway. A civil war occurred and the knee-bending faction won, because they had the help of Norway. Iceland was thenceforth a vassal of Norway, and Norway rewarded the knee-benders. In England in 1700 there was a Catholic Jacobite faction that favored bending the knee to France, and they were supported by the French. The Jacobites tried to usurp the throne but the English patriot faction won. Parliament cut Catholics out from the royal succession, allowing only protestants.

America has a fine history of local militias. Establish a NATO, a Neighboring Americans Treaty Organization. An attack on one is an attack on all. If a mob invades the neighborhood, deploy lots of cameras and loudly live stream it. Build a web page with discussion forums whose goal is identifying the mobsters. Loudly proclaim the identities of the mobsters. Have all the local militia show up as fast as minutemen and form a gun-toting defensive phalanx. Pose and look cool to make a glorious meme. If you report an attack to the police and they don't respond, that's very very bad. It means police have institutionalized the ability to choose who to defend and who not to, and they will invariably chose to not defend conservatives. Mobs will realize this and be emboldened. If the police fail to respond to an attack, go nuclear with outrage. Declare that the city has failed. The ability to enforce order should be the city's top priority. They discriminate against good teachers that are conservatives, often forming mobs to try to fire them. I formally level the charge that they are anti-education. They tie pay to seniority and level of degree. Bull! The only legit pay scheme is fair competition and student choice. Their pay scheme entrenches bad teachers and blocks entry to new teachers. It's an unnecessary subsidy to the teachers college industry. Scrutiny of Jill Biden's thesis has exposed the fact that there are many teachers with an Ed.D that suck. To teach at public schools you need certification from a teacher's college. Bull! Teachers unions embrace certification as a way to exclude competition, which they can't handle. There are lots of great teachers that never attended a teacher's college. Plus, teachers colleges suck because they're full of leftists. Why give money to these turkeys? In fact, if you have a REAL degree as opposed to a teacher's degree, you are likely to be a better teacher. They make the principal's job easy. Just hire a physicist. Teacher's unions indoctrinate students to leftism, and they attack conservative students. They hold leftists protests and let students out of school to engage in leftist protests. Their goal is power, not education, and they are using public resources to do it. This is political looting. Public school teachers should never indoctrinate. This is way way way not okay. These fellows were: Leo Szilard, Edward Teller, John von Neumann, Theodore von Karman, Paul Erdos, Eugene Wigner, Lorand Eotvos, and Cornelius Lanczos. The MVP of World War 2 was Szilard, who invented the nuclear bomb. The conventional war was irrelevant. We had the trump card. Edward Teller was the father of America's fusion bomb program. You know him as "Dr. Strangelove". In Hungary, mathematics was as prestigious as wrestling is in the midwest. The winners of mathematics contests were treated like celebrities. Most stars are billions of years older than the sun. Alien civilizations likely have a head start on us by billions of years. It takes only 1 million years to cross the galaxy with a fission or fusion drive (speed of .1 C). If the aliens wanted to be here, they would be. There is a Star Trek episode with a Doomsday Machine that roams the galaxy destroying planets. The aliens could do this if they wanted and we wouldn't be able to stop it. The Doomsday Machine would have wiped us out before we got to multicellular life. Hence one of the few things that can be said for certain about aliens is that there is no Doomsday Machine. Movies about aliens often feature an alien ship that crashes on the Earth. Bull. If the aliens can build a starship then they're not going to crash. The colonial era was different. Europe was ahead of the rest of the world but not yet badass enough to make ships that can't be sunk by a storm, and so the natives were often treated to a crashed European ship on their beach. The American Indians couldn't make copper or iron. Most of their metal came from storm-destroyed Japanese ships that crashed on the coast. I flat out disbelieve all UFO sightings. We're not going to see anything unless the aliens want us to see it. If the UFO sighting are real then it's because the aliens are trolling us. Enough with the damn obelisks. I'm not impressed unless the obelisk does something cool, such as Be a stargate. Have a proof of the Riemann hypothesis written on it. Be capable of igniting Jupiter into a star. Be a hyperadvanced gamestation. Be hooked up to the galactic movie streaming network. Have the answer to the question of the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. People reflexively assume that colonialism is bad. Bull. A synergistic relationship is possible. Number of people that 1 km^2 of land can support: American Indians (hunter gatherers) = 1 18th Century Europeans = 10 (Agriculture and livestock) 20th Century American farmers = 50 = (Mechanization, fertilizer, genetic engineering, pesticides) Hydroponics = 200 European agriculture expanded the carrying capacity of the land. There was plenty of land for everyone. A mutually good deal was possible. Many native tribes joined America in wars against more hostile Indian tribes. You don't hear about these tribes. When the aliens come, I'm getting on board their ship and leaving this provincial planet. I'm going to the Galactic Institute of Technology. I'm waving a towel around. My hypothesis is that the aliens are here, watching us, and that they have a Prime Directive of non-interference. They don't need to interfere because...

We could go Asimov-style psychohistory on this and attempt to predict the future. Anticipation of the future is necessary for constructing policy today. Baffling that politicians ignore the future. People with a successful record for predicting the future should be heeded and those that don't should be shunned. What are the driving forces? Excommunication: There is a set of intolerant people that socially excludes conservatives, and this will lead to a social schism of American society. Excommunication is a powerful weapon until the point where the excommunicated form their own protestant church, then it's game over. The set of excommunicators used to be small but now it's large, large enough to achieve critical mass and to drive conservatives extinct at many institutions. The situation is so extreme that conservatives will be forced to create their own institutions. We will see new Institutes of Technology in red rural land. Tax: California has the highest state tax and Texas has none. Moving vans flow from California to Texas. California once exported technology products and they now export businesses and rich people. In general, blue states have higher tax than red states. Debt: Blue cities and states have vastly more debt than red cities and states. Debt plus exodus will lead to the bankruptcy of many blue cities and states. It's as inevitable as the collapse of the Roman Empire and of the Galactic Empire. Party instability: What's worse than a 2 party system? A 1 party system. The American 2 party system used to be stable because if a party went too extreme, the voters would choose the other party, to restore balance. Such an electorate would today vote to keep the senate republican, just to balance democrat power. Now it's the other way around. Democrats make no attempt to appeal to republican voters, and leftism evolves leftward, by nature. The democratic party will escalate leftward until moderate democrats find themselves refugees, and they will flee to the republican party. In general, the farther you push a system from its balance point, the harder it fights back. Once upon a time, parties didn't try to destroy each other, because mudslinging backfired. Now it's different. The democratic party will use their power to tilt the playing field so that republicans can never win again. This forces the secession of red states. Secession is inevitable. Ways that democrats will tilt the field: Create new blue states, such as DC and Puerto Rico Make it easy to cheat in elections Censor conservatives Destroy small businesses Destroy the middle class Destroy American industry by weakening America's export prowess Excommunicate conservatives socially Destroy the hydrocarbon energy sector, ...

For satellites, it's understandable to emphasize reliability. Part of the advantage of steampunk is that the rocket is lightweight, more lightweight than a monopropellant rocket. The rocket has a mass of 1.44 kg. This improves the energy/mass of the rocket+fuel system. Energy/mass trumps exhaust speed. The lightweight rocket also allows it to be put on a tiny satellite. They need to increase the temperature. Exhaust speed = V ~ T^{1/2}. The temperature is 1075 K. Surely they can do better than that. Thank you for all that beautiful technical detail. Air independent propulsion is gasoline + liquid oxygen. It works great. The range is pretty good. If you're a defense-oriented nation like India, Japan, South Korea, and The Philippines, then air-independent propulsion has plenty of range. The subs are never far from a refueling point. Nuclear propulsion is great because it enables you to circumnavigate the globe many times without refueling or surfacing, which is what America needs. But if you're a defense-minded nation then you don't need it. You don't even need air-independent propulsion. Lithium batteries are cheap enough that you can have a lithium sub. Battery power is much better than gasoline power because a gasoline generator is noisy and battery power is silent. For subs, power is important, but stealth is even more important. It's a law of physics that sound is more easily created and received in water than in air. Subs are easy to detect by sound. Textbook on the physics of sound https://www.jaymaron.com/music.html Stealth subs are important. A lithium sub in defense mode has the luxury of being able to surface regularly to use gasoline+air power to recharge the batteries. The simpler the better. Trump rolled back regulations on shower heads and he loves to talk about it. "I have a great head of hair and I need a lot of water". The regulations force shower heads to be low pressure. So of course you spend more time in the shower. Any government that that restricts water is a failure. The Obama "Waters of the United States" act was a debacle. It prevented farmers from building a pond for their livestock to drink from, and it prevented them from doing landscape engineering. Even the livestock is thirsty under democrat rule.

Fission thermal rockets are the way to go. Baffling that we don't already have them. The higher the temperature of the reactor, the faster the exhaust speed, and the article discusses the challenges of high-temperature engineering. High-temperature engineering is important for many other applications, such as radioisotope thermoelectric generators. Hydrogen+Oxygen exhaust speed = 4.4 km/s Fission thermal hydrogen exhaust speed = 13 km/s. Fission thermal rockets have a larger exhaust speed than chemical rockets but a smaller power/mass, too low to harness the Oberth maneuver. The Oberth maneuver is important for moving between planets, and only chemical rockets can do it. We need both chemical and fission thermal rockets. jaymaron comments on Dec 25, 2020:
We so need a bigger space telescope. Additionally, the Webb is an infrared telescope, and we don't presently have an operating infrared telescope. Infrared telescopes have to be cold and they inevitably run out of coolant. I think our first move should be to establish a manned base station at L2 and assemble telescopes on site. It's easy to align mirror segments in space and there's no limit to the size. Having humans on hand to do the assembly eliminates the complexity. Using lunar iron you can construct a colossal radio telescope. To build a base at L2, use lunar ice, which can be rocket fuel, radiation shielding, and life support. Bigelow space modules are huge and lightweight, much better than the space station. Roadmap: https://www.jaymaron.com/astronautics.html#mission Telescopes: https://www.jaymaron.com/telescopes.html

There is a college contest in applied mathematics called the "Mathematical Contest in Modeling" (MCM). It's about how to use mathematics to solve real-world problems. Every politician should have an applied mathematician on staff. Shame anyone who doesn't. Gingrich: American politicians tend to be lawyers or businessmen. Chinese politicians tend to be scientists or engineers. Scoooooooooooooooooop! Over the last decade the MCM has been dominated by Chinese teams. Did anybody know that? Clearly they understand the importance of applied mathematics, and American politicians whiffed. Look at the plot of mining dominance. China dominates the production of most elements, and this didn't happen by accident. They're up to something. By the way, they do it by stealing American technology and then burning coal to smelt the metal. Jerks. Article on mining dominance: https://www.jaymaron.com/mining.html There are 2 good rare Earth element mines in the world: The Mountain Pass mine in California and the Bayan Obo mine in China. Mountain Pass once dominated world production and now they are bankrupt, and China dominates rare Earths. Why? Because there are no environmental constraints at the Bayan Obo mine. If you care about the Earth, point the finger at the Bayan Obo mine. China dominates the production of goose down. This is important because goose down far outperforms synthetic fill. Turns out they do it by the inhumane practice of live plucking. Article: https://www.jaymaron.com/ecology.html#down It's a certainty that every badass American university research group has a CCP spy embedded in it. The story is personal to me. At U. Wisconsin I was on the MCM team and we kicked ass. We achieved a rank of Meritorious. Paraphrasing the Great Wizard Gingrich: To battle the Chinese you need to understand the game of Go. Go is about patience and territory. For example, for every island the Chinese create in the South Pacific Sea, create 5 of your own islands closer to China than that island. The Chinese Communist Party forbids foreign ownership of any Chinese corporation, or of Chinese land. Chinese are forbidden from investing in foreign stocks. They are required to invest in the Chinese Stock Market. If I were president I would confiscate every Chinese corporation in the U.S., and I would confiscate every piece of land in America owned by any entity connected to the Chinese Communist Party. We just learned that the CCP has spies emBedded with most democrat politicians, such as Agent Bang Bang with Congressman Swallwell, and the Chinese spy that was Senator Feinstein's driver for 20 years. Gingrich gave an anecdote describing how the ballboy for the Minnesota Gophers football team proved to be a Chinese spy. Faked poor English. In fact spoke perfect English and understood everything everyone was saying. If you analyze the source of ownership of American land you will find that lots of it traces back to the CCP. They've been planning this for decades. The CCP has been planning mining dominance for decades, and you will find that much of the American land owned by the CCP has rich ore. In general, society will schism. Most leftists don't like to socialize with conservatives and so society will schism socially. The Carlson segment suggests that language will schism. A boycott war will cause economic schism. Bankruptcies of democrat cities and states will force political schism and secession. Half of America will go forward believing that democrats stole the 2020 election, and the other half feels that the election was fair. That rift will never go away. It will become like a religious schism, with each side believing in their history. "Low man on the totem pole" is banned. I like that phrase. Not giving it up. In Asimov's "Foundation", the Foundation gave up on the galactic empire and let it collapse and worked toward building a better empire. Back in the day, if you were obsessed with regional identity you were called "provincial". Fine word to bring back. Also on last night's show, Carlson said: (paraphrasing): California used to export technological products. Now it exports businesses.

China dominates world metal production and they do it with coal. Jerks. They steal steelmaking technology and then they flagrantly burn coal to produce steel. This is "conflict steel". China dominates world element production not just by mass but also by comprehensiveness. They dominate production of MOST elements. See the plot. That doesn't happen by accident. Clearly they're up to something. China leads CO2 production and they have a horrible value for energy/carbon, and the reason for the horrible value is coal. Coal has the worst possible energy/carbon, half that of natural gas. China is overwhelmed with smog. Their economy is founded on coal and burning more coal costs them smog. They tied themselves into a knot. The terms of the Paris Accord is that developed nations have to reduce carbon and developing nations get to splurge on carbon. The Paris Accord should be called the Beijing Accord. In fact, America has a great value for energy/carbon. See the plot. We should virtue signal. We did our part. Rest of world? Ball in your court, not ours. Once upon a time, rare Earth elements were dominated by America, by the Mountain Pass mine in California.
