The problem with demonstrations and riots is that they run out of control. If you want anarchy that is likely to be your aim but if it is supposed to highlight a cause then all that happens is that cause is damaged even further. The current UK riots are supposedly in support of ‘black lives’ but are actually a left wing inspired opportunistic attempt to destabilise society by linking their attempt at anarchy to a wider cause. Police are being attacked and property damaged supposedly in an attempt to improve the standing of black people in society. Bearing in mind that compared to many countries the UK is not a particularly racist society the lasting effect from the current situation is that the standing of black people in the UK will be lower than before. People who weren’t racist are more likely to be after the current example of anti white anarchy. So the left wing behind this might be content but if those conned into taking part in the riots think that they have helped what they think their cause is, they are sadly mistaken. They have been duped into furthering a political cause at their expense.
Does for example anyone actually believe that the destruction of the twin towers benefited Muslims in the long run? Race relations in the UK have now been set back decades and that will be the true legacy of this.

I can't really speak to what is happening in the UK, but I know what is happening in the US.

It is interesting that you hear a lot of theories that these protesters are "actually a left wing inspired opportunistic attempt" or that "Democrats are morally bankrupt" and black people are being exploited and "BLM is not about improving the lives of black people"... In my opinion, this is all just an attempt to discredit and dismiss the injustice we are seeing. When you claim that the protests are not about unarmed black people being murdered by authorities (and yes, authorities is the crucial part here, so I don't want to hear about criminals killing criminals as an excuse), but rather an attempt at anarchy and a left-wing conspiracy, then you can start calling the protesters "terrorists" and start taking away their rights to peacefully assemble or speak out against tyranny. I wonder why you see so many videos of looting / rioting with no cops around to stop it... but then you see plenty of videos of people peacefully standing around (or even kneeling) with hundreds of cops starting to charge them, shooting people in the face with rubber bullets, "kettling" people to trap them, firing teargas at people already fleeing, etc.

I wonder why these same people aren't coming up with theories about the lockdown protesters - you know, the white people armed to the teeth trying to storm the State Capitol and shouting (without masks) in the faces of police officers, with no police force being used against them? Where are the theories about them being funded by Adelson or Koch? Or being a right-wing opportunistic attempt? Or Republicans being morally bankrupt? Or not actually being about supporting individual rights and small businesses?

Why are the same people who were outraged at being told to stay home due to the virus now championing forced curfews? Why are they now against protesting? Why are they freaking out that black people are protesting in the streets when they spent countless hours ranting about a football player silently taking a knee, telling them it wasn't the right way to protest?

Like you with the UK, I cannot pass judgement on what is happening across the water but in the UK these demonstrations are just another example of the Labour Party and other left wing activists encouraging people to take to the streets to protest. We had a democratic referendum to leave the EU but the left wing parties refused to accept the result and campaigned to overturn it, even conspiring with EU officials to do so. We had a general election where the left wing parties were wiped out but still they continued to campaign against the democratic vote. Then Coronavirus where all Labour etc can do is criticise and try to undermine everything. The BLC demonstrations are just a continuation of their campaign to subvert democracy, if necessary by using intimidation via the mobs.

@Kravman2 beautiful. I’m just trying not to get taken in because the situation here is just making me so sad. First I was called an idiot for voting Brexit now apparently I’m a subconscious racist because your opponent shows their inner most beliefs and fears by projecting those on another

@CHFandango Spot on. It’s the deluded, the gullible and the self interested trying to justify their inadequacies by putting other people down. Wear your Brexit voting ‘racist’ allegations as a badge of honour. It shows you can think as an individual.

I totally agree, that has actually happened with me, I treat everyone I meet with respect; always have done and always will, but what has changed are my feelings. I believe there is prejudice and/or racism in everyone because it is human nature we judge on appearance, experience, what we see and what we know. For me everything changed with the hate speech laws and the preceding years that led up to them.

As a chatterbox who likes to talk to everyone about everything and anything freely to then suddenly have to look around see who's watching or listening if we are discussing politics, race or religion is actually quite scary. I feel really frustrated and so angry and when I see these people destroying things in this country and they have no respect for the benefits and freedoms they have.

Also, there are black people out there who are treated the same as white people if they dare to disagree with their community but we never get to hear from them as if somehow they are not allowed to think freely.

What I have seen this week cannot be unseen and I will remember this the next time I vote.

This has nothing to do with improving ANYONES life style, it is all about taking control!!!
If you can create TOTAL anarchy, as Lenin and Stalin did, it opens up the doors to TOTAL take over!!!!
It has worked before and it can work again!!!! This is why Soros is funding Anitfa, and like groups!!!
Soros sees himself as some type of GOD, and believes everyone and everything should bow before him!!!
And he is not alone in this endeavor!!!!!!

Absolutely agree.
BLM is not about improving the lives of black people.
It has the opposite affect.
BLM is a political hate group. Democrats are morally bankrupt and their leadership is totally corrupt.
I look forward to the day when enough black people realize how badly the left has exploited them.
