Does it matter that Kamala Harris is descended from a slave owner? In these two videos Dinesh D'Souza discusses the evidence for this and way it matters.

I'd guess entitlement might be there due to privileged background based on other people's work.

One argument or point I have heard is that a lot of slave owners raped their slaves. That argument will play into this point. Not sure if it is valid.

She doesn't have any 'oppression' creds. On either side of her ancestry, and that's one of the reasons she is not able to defend herself when confronted by someone like Tulsi Gabbard. She is the typical privileged and powerful politician who cannot put themselves in the position of someone oppressed, so she resorts to saying things like 'Well, I am a first tier candidate, so that's why the attack...', or 'We were just having a debate (during the Colbert interview about her and Joe Biden)

Didn’t look it up to verify but ...
Is this Kamala Harris and her kids?

I'd think Joe/handlers knew this fact and thought it would be a help in polls once the leak came out towards voters "sympathetic" (for lack of a better word) to slave history and who was actually connected to it. Kamala herself will probably bring it up sooner or later.

Deuteronomy 24:16

See also the extended discussion of the same issue in Ezekiel 18.

Of course it’s a non-issue, but like with everything, the marxists moved the goalposts, so they should be forced to play the same game. Their hypocrisy must be called out. Won’t mean shit to them, but it might to neutrals.

The way the current game is played is that if you have some non-white in you the left considers you one of their own and you can't be racist because it's impossible for non-whites to be racist. The other side of the game is if you're white you are privileged and racist and have to openly say it so you'll be marginally accepted by society. This is the race game being developed by the left.

Good points made in the videos. Personally, I feel the best way to fight racial politics is to not play the game. If they want to make it all about racial history, I would make it all about current progress. Even if I have a racial wrench to jam up their narrative. How Trump will play it? Not sure.

The sins of our ancestors isn't an inherited evil, imo. Getting into the debate over whose ancestors owned slaves just keeps us looking at each other through the lense of history. We should never deny our history. Just stop living in it.

If Harris had a less tipsy platform, I could have seen her making a full disclosure of her history to benefit her position. Like, look where I came from and how I don't represent my past lineage type stuff. You know, unity speeches. She's perfect. POC, woman, mixed... Could have been powerful actually.

But, they kinda close all those doors when they started up the whole reparations and pointing their fingers at "white man bad" as well as "only white man bad".

Being descendant of slave owners in K Harris' case is no more significant than the fact that a number of our Founding fathers were also slave owners. Right? Right.

As I said to another person here, i'ts relevant in pointing out the hypocrisy of the Left. See my comments below if interested in my perspective. I agree that it shouldn't matter.

@KeithThroop fair enough

Well ... except that she ... Kamala HaHa, and they ... the DemLeft ... have made it a Major Part of THEIR Narrative.
Black (ummm No ... Colored maybe), African-American (ummm No ... Half Black Jamaican and Asian Indian and ... so, maybe a little “Black” but mostly various forms of “Brown” ).
Not to mention her tearjerking tale about being one of the First Poor Little Girls Forced into being BUSSED. (Demonstrably a Lie)

So ... allegedly ... They are “Virtue Signaling” Their “Solidarity” with Blacks and the BLM Movement and DemLeftLibs.
These are cards THEY Choose to play but they’re all False Cards from an AlternateDeck.

AND She’s “Proud” to be coupled with Mr. Creepy Groper Biden who has a past FULL of Racist Commentary and Actions.

Perhaps it should have made No Difference ... EXCEPT THEY not only “brought it to the table” but Threw It Down like a Hand Full of “High Cards” ...

So ... I guess it DOES “Make a Difference”...
Right?
Right.

@Bay0Wulf Well Said!

I am thinking Dinesh feels he has to lead this charge and can do so freely as he doesn't have to worry about being a white person pushing it.

I do think it can backfire. This is something that she did not havecontrol over and she is not a Shaun King or Liz Warren - not a 99.99% white person identifying as mixed race. She is truly mixed race.

She is part black Jamaican so is descended at least in part from the transatlantic slave trade. Jamaican and American slave trade were intertwined and there are people right now who might think she is not 'black' or 'black enough' to count, who could come around to sympathize with her.

More important is her record and her views, which are far outside of mainstream. Sure, point this out, bring it out if she calls openly for reparations, but don't beat it like a dead horse.

Good points. Thanks for sharing.

LOL!!! I guess you haven’t been paying much attention...
Go look her claims she made during the Primary (there’s a bunch of them)
Go listen to her rhetoric since then (there’s lots of it)
Go look at how the DemLeft are “positioning” her (there’s lots of evidence all over the place)

SHE and THEY (the DemLeft) are using HER “Blackness” ... HER “African-Americaness” as a Major Point to indicate HER “Solidarity” with THEIR “Cause du Jour” ... BLM and the Fabricated “Liberal Race Riot Issue” ...

Actually its all Very Interesting that it seems from all the footage available that the RIOTERS are mostly ALL White and the LOOTERS are mostly ALL Black ...

@Bay0Wulf But she IS part BLACK. Probaby at least 25% (her father probably 50%+) and that black is from the same transatlantic slave trade as the US slaves.

Trying to say she is somehow not black enough due to a singular slave owner great, great grandfather she never knew is not going to change any minds.

Just like voters didn't care that Obama's African was not descended from US slavery for our first black President, they likely won't care about this either. Hypocrisy or not, white descendants of slave owners don't have the significant slave ancestry to balance the social justice ledger.

@emmdee2
Yup ... she’s “Colored” ... “Black” if you wish ...
She IS NOT “African American” as in part of the “American Black Experience” which is the Narrative they are trying to spin.
Further, you obviously don’t pay a lot of attention ... her “Blackness” comes from the time Just After Jamaica abolished Slavery and one of the previous Slave Owners married a Free Black Woman ... that was at least what? 4-5 generations back? Where do you get 25%? ... not that it particularly matters but her “Brown-ness” is mostly Asian Indian ... (similar to Dinesh)

I don’t care that She ... or Any Politician ... is Black ... or part Black ... or even Green with Purple Polka Dots ... as long as I have reason to believe that she will do what I consider to be a “Good Job”.

Unfortunately, like Obama, I look at her past, her actions, her positions, as far back as I can and my reaction is not simply; “No!” Like that guy, Senator Obama, my reaction is; “Hell No!!! Electing this person is NOT beneficial to My Nation!”

Aside from all that, I don’t care about the racial make-up of a person unless THEY and/or Their Party “make it an issue” unless THEY use it as an item like “Affirmative Action”, unless THEY use it to try to Guilt Trip Gullible People. (Like Elizabeth Warren ... Fauxahontas)

And They Did.
And They Are.
And They’re LYING to do it.
So I Now Care about the Accuracy of the Claim.

@Bay0Wulf As like Africa, not all Africans are black. The same goes for Jamaica. I read somewhere that her father was Jamaican indian, not black, of course that was before the VP announcement and the internet scrub. I wonder if her children identify as black and if the little opportunist has any limits?

@FEWI
Have to admit ... it never occurred to me to wonder if she has “kids” ...

@Bay0Wulf Kamala’s African American family.

Interesting, but completely irrelevant. JoeKam need to be defeated based on their current policies.

I'ts relevant in pointing out the hypocrisy of the Left. See my comments below if interested in my perspective. I agree that it shouldn't matter.

Well, except that it IS relevant to Their Policies and Stated Positions and it IS a Major Aspect of the DemLeft “Platform”

I don't think her adoring press will bring up the subject. I don't think it's an important issue for conservatives.

Trump and his people will make it a big issue

Howdy @B1967,

She postures as an oppressed minority when she was the child of UC Berkeley professors, went to the finest schools and was ushered into public life by highly placed mentors. That repells me, not her ancestry.

As I said in another thread, the only reason this is an issue is that the Left has made it an issue. I really don't care what a person's ancestors believed or did. I care about what the person himself/herself currently believes and does. But it is worth raising because they should at least be expected to uphold their own standard. Yet they never do. Standards and moral principles are what they expect of others whom they do not deem smart enough to make up their own standard as they go. In their view, it is impossible for them to be hypocritical or inconsistent; that is something only other people who aren't among the elite are capable of doing. In their view, the ends justify the means, but only if they are what they deem to be the proper ends. Only they are intelligent and sophisticated enough to be able to determine what those ends should be. Sounds crazy, I know, but there you have it.

@timon_phocas
Sorta like that Poor Little Hispanic Girl from the Bronx (Westchester) ... Sandy “AOC” Cortez.

@Bay0Wulf we all know she did not get that money from bartending.

Why else would there be so many porn videos of her on the internet ?
