'Boy, did we screw up!'

Hmm. Charles Koch is now apologizing for his almost one-sided support of Republicans. ($2.8m to Republicans, 221,000 to democrats.) He admits that it has helped fuel the divisiveness in America. According to The Hill "he is turning his attention to issues like poverty, addiction, gang violence, homelessness and recidivism." The policies the Democratic Party should be pursuing instead of how to address a reverse double trans with leprosy. I know this board is conservative and you have valid reasons for being so. I do want to state that most Democrats are not "Gay Communists for Socialism", but level headed people who go to work every day, pay taxes, are members of churches and sports clubs who, like you, wish the best for America.

I don't care where anyone puts their own money, but apologizing to strangers for what a person does or says, that do not directly affect the person or people they are apologizing to is ridiculous. I am so sick of people apologizing... And the cancel culture needs to be stopped....

When it takes two people in a family each working two jobs and still having a hard time making ends meet there is something wrong there. Americans wages have been slipping for many decades. Where has that money been going? Because the wealthy have better access to making the rules the money is gained by skimming off the living wage a hard working person should be able to make and into the wealthy's accounts. By those actions they are directly affecting the wages of many people and therefore the apology is appropriate. How is this in any way cancel culture? If someone does something wrong a decent person would think it the right thing to be sincerely apologetic to those who have been harmed.

He's giving himself too much credit. The world would still be in this situation even if he and his money didn't exist.

Funny how the ultra rich lose interest in what made them rich.

So the person "liberals" have been calling a psychopath for decades is no longer a psychopath when he wants to "build bridges" across the political divide?

Your cognitive dissonance is showing.

Never thought of him or any other staunch conservative as a psychopath. (Oh. wait, Martin Shkreli). It is how many of them feel entitled to all the money they can get, any how they can get it, while saluting the flag and accepting government handouts. It is not evil to be rich. If someone is legitimately successful they deserve the benefits, but they are still part of society and have obligations toward it.

@Pand0ro

You mean conservatives like Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, the Pelosis and Biden's? Politics is lucrative for "liberals" as well as conservatives.

@wolfhnd Of course. They have the same rights and responsibilities as conservatives have with their wealth. And yes liberals have taken part in back room under the table deals just like some conservatives have, and are just as guilty. The draw of wealth and power is hard to resist.
