If there is anything we should learn from 2010-2020 globalization decade, it is how important the autonomy is. Despite all the fairy tales about this great global melting pot, where everyone enjoys the opportunity for prosperity and growth, any errors or force-majeure circumstances lead to huge global collapses and failures, which can only be survived by the groups, who can ensure at least some level of autonomy from the rest of the global world. And this is one of the challenges we all face now - join or create groups, which will exist within a global world, but can still ensure autonomous existence in case of any global crisis.
Speaking of autonomy I am not tying it to a territory or the boundaries of any state. I am speaking of groups of people, who can operate together as a system. Amongst other things - also using the benefits, which the globalization can still offer us.

Globalization is characterized by a small percentage of people gaining most of the wealth and power. Local autonomy is characterized by groups being lead by local war lords with constant warring between the groups (like in Afghanistan or Somalia) and making it difficult to obtain essential goods and services that sustain the group.

In order for a currency to work everybody has to agree on its value. In order for a government to work everyone has to agree on its value. We have stopped agreeing on government and have leapfrogged into believing in the autonomy of the individual. That, along with social disruptions like a pandemic, are bringing the destruction of society. This is inevitable given the rate of growth in wealth and population. It follows the same curve as cancer in an individual and will eventually kill the host.

It is time for a return to fascism.

@Archangelwoghd The thousand year Reich lasted about a decade. Franco's lasted less than three. Fascist regimes are brought down by competing in-groups trying to wrest power of the regime. We have not outgrown our hunter-gatherer way of dealing with each other.

apart from that globalization gave way to much more sophisticated technologies of exploitation. I do not believe in a universal agreement, as it looks clearly utopian to me.

@Pand0ro
And Rome? The most successful civilisation in Human history was fascist. Charlemagne too. According to Plato, the Spartans were fascists and he admired them. Plato himself being a fascist.

And what about America? While falling a bit short of being a fascist state, is still rooted in fascism.

Also, stop calling all fascism "regimes" as if Hitler, Franco, Mussolini, Codreanu, Pinochet, and the rest were dictators. None of them were. Thats propaganda.

@Archangelwoghd I am sure they had input from trusted advisors, but when they said "This is how things are to be" they pretty much were. We are not psychologically fit for any form of government other than tribal.

@Pand0ro

Hitler was regularly voted down by the Reichtag, not very often, but more than Washington was voted down by congress. Mussolini was impeached. Authoritarians, yes, including Washington, but not dictators.

They did not hold absolute power.

Agree with you on Tribal. Fascism can be defined as a government for for large tribes.
