The lesson, which Parler should teach everybody is that if you were to ever launch a platform, which is in any way "dissident" to the current regime, you should arrange it in such a way that it would be maximally difficult for anyone to dismantle it. Using Amazon servers was quite a silly idea. If the network could still run in a browser mode, it would not be difficult to distribute the app by straightforward download from their website.

Another point would be our phones. Now even though you paid for the phone and own it, it's producer is still in power to decide how you use it. Isn't this amazing?

The only way out is to create an alternative smartphone OS, which will not be owned by any Internet moguls. And yes - using highly advertised brands is not a very good idea either. Because at the end, it's them, who screw you with the product you actually bought from them

That's why no smart phone for me.

I suspect, after January 20th in the United States, there will be a push to get smart phones to all Americans. Mandatory. You will have to have one on you at all times and it will have all your data. Convenience, they will say. Safety, they will say. B.S., I say.

The people who won't get microchipped will be forced to carry a phone so they can be tracked 24/7.
