That 2nd dose ain't no joke.
I've always done very well with vaccines but 12 hours after my second dose my temperature was 100° and dropped to 99 for the rest of the night and still today ( it's 1030 Tuesday as i write this; second dose yesterday).
I had some aches and some chill but nothing drastic. The worst of it was and this was unexpected was an upset stomach that couldn't decide whether to go up or go down. Eventually it decided to go up but by then I had an empty stomach and the dry heaves hurt my stomach for quite a few hours.
I had to call off work because I drive an hour to work and I couldn't risk anything but roughly 24 hours after the second dose I'm still at 99° fever but all the other bad symptoms are gone.
Still, if you are in a multiple second dose household, stagger them! You don't want the entire house to be down for the count on the same day
Any thought on whether or not someone who gets sick from the flu injection (i mean bedridden for 2 weeks sick not i got a sniffle ) should take the vaccine and do all of them have these side effects?
@TheMiddleWay You know what, your right that must have been a precoffee question
I get the idea that sometimes we need to endure a little pain in order to get healthy, but you won't be counted as someone that had an adverse reaction (unless you let your doctor know)....and I bet that it is happening a lot - 80% have injection site pain and something like 60% are similar to you.
Thanks, no thanks.
