But if you start with a false premise....
@tracycoyle Using the scientific method it will be caught by other researchers. One major incidence was in 1989 when Martin Fleischmann and Stanley Pons claimed they produced cold fusion in a desktop experiment. The experiment was duplicated by many other scientists but did not result in the outcomes claimed by the original.
@Pand0ro I agree that is the way things should go, but when the raw data is collected by the government, kept to itself, and only 'adjusted' data is shared and that adjusted data forms the basis of years of research, you have to wonder how long and how much money will be spent chasing false ideas.
Anthro Climate Change and Dark Matter are just two of the more obvious situations in science over the last 2 decades....
