At a certain point you can create groups. If you feel there is a need for one, create it. However, I've tried to go by the premise that if you create a group, YOU are responsible for it's growth and appeal. So, create it, then start adding posts to it that interest others that end up joining the group and posting more to it.

But if you are not willing to do the work.....

When we post we need to select a category and currently, those are limited to mostly political-related areas

Why are we putting up a barrier for other content?

To your point at some stage, I might start a conservative marketing group but that would be a category of business

So if your answer is I should do a group for the whole topic of business then my question is why have categories at all?

Question 2 is does the site make the categories automatically based on the tags?

@drzoom It is not a barrier - it is an attempt to manage a free and open board. You need to have sufficient time and participation here before you can create a group - if it doesn't exist, then, for the moment, there is no demand for it. If you want to help create that demand, participate and gain the ability, then the responsibility to encourage others.

Groups are self formed and self organized. I am unaware of the Admin directing the formation or preventing of groups, or subcategories...automatically or not.

@tracycoyle what category do I put business content in? Oh and thanks for answering question two. I'm loving the slug platform

@drzoom Make your own....

@tracycoyle No worries just a suggestion after look at the new post screen again I can see that groups are in the same dropdown as categories So I guess I see where you're coming from its just seems like it's missing a few standard main categories and I was just making a suggestion 🙂
