Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button."Special consideration for historically excluded groups, specifically racial minorities or women" is in itself a type of discrimination. One cannot possibly cure discrimination with discrimination. I, personally, would not like to be told that I got a job just because I am a woman. It minimizes my value as an individual. Who decides which group of historically discriminated against individuals is more deserving?

While it may have done some good, it is going on for too long. End it now! Sadly, when a minority gets a promotion, many give each other the knowing look because we know the bean counters demand they be promoted. This is sad for minorities who are truly qualified and deserve to be promoted.

No good. It is a preferential treatment based on skin color and not the intellect. It also “excludes” individuals that could have earned that spot.

Well stated, I agree.
Not a fan personally, why should one group of people be favored over another? Because of race? Didn't even sound like a good idea to begin with.
