When i was a kid my dad was a cub leader, and there was a boy without a father and although i didnt understand it when i was 9, my dad was a posative male role model for that boy when he helped the boy build his cub car.
For boys without fathers, Boy scouts was a source of posative male role models. But all that is gone now with it being Scouts Canada now. I think there are now more women leaders in cubs and scouts than men. So what chance does a boy of a single mom have of even spending an hour a week with other young men and hopefully a posative male rolemodel

The current iteration of feminism seems to be the root of toxic smearing of men.

Define toxic for clarity.

How many meth heads do you know? How many pimps do you know? How many wife beaters do you know? It may be a small number but it is very prevalent in drug culture. If I have the drugs I can treat women any way I please. I asked a friend of mine who was complaining about his daughter in and out of rehab. Is she pretty. He said yes. I told him to his shock. Well she won't ever have to for drugs then so you can't control her with . There is a subculture of humans you may know some, or you may not. Your chances are better if your house cost less than sixty thousand dollars. The more you spend the better nieborghs you get. Or the better at hiding their flaws.

Basically men don't become less toxic by being less masculine. They become less toxic by not being bad !! It's very simple. I hate this "Toxic Masculinity" crap people hit out with just to get a buzz.

Every totalitarian group has to have an enemy to blame in order to control the peasants and gain power. White males are the “patriarchy”. They could be grateful to the “patriarchal” white males who died fighting the Civil War to stop slavery. Or how about my white patriarchal grandpas who voted to ratify the 19th? The patriarchal white guys who voted for Civil Rights? I could go on and on but you get the point.

They insult my precious dad, my encouraging uncles, my husband and sons. I have become quite the cheerleader for teen boys. I am encouraging them to start businesses. Be as independent as possible outside the institutions that are targeting them. After all, there are some young women who still want to marry real men.

In Tucker Carlson's book he mentions that the testosterone level of forty year old American men has declined thirty percent over the last thirty years. I have done some basic sniffing around on this and it appears to be true.

Certainly, given the effects of chemicals in our environment on the endocrine and reproductive systems of amphibians, fish, and other animals that we see the thirty percent decline seems inherently plausible to me.

The vast societal movement that I nickname "the Hermaphrodite Conspiracy" (LGBQT et al) may have its genesis in this fact. The world wide decline in modern countries of birth rates to below replacement rates may have this as a major contributing factor.

The implications of this seem quite profound to me; I only begin to reason out what they might be.

I've taught my sons that real men respect and honor women, own their mistakes, are humble, that they don't have to be right in a disagreement, respect elders, etc. A strong man will put a stop to toxic behavior in a tense environment. Any toxic men I have encountered have always been seen as the assholes they are.

I don't even think it's so much an attack on boys(boys catch the most grief)it's an attack on kids in general. Because girls like to be rowdy, girls like to roughhouse, girls like to play sports. So to see all of these aspects of being a kid taken out of society really is disturbing

I, personally, love men. I am the mother of sons who has watched her sons treated unfairly by the public education system just because of their gender. Another great read is: "The Wonder of Boys" by Michael Gurian. Thank you for sharing this read. I will definitely check it out.

I think of the other idw post that said we are crippingly isolated as a society. Maybe i live in an echo chamber but no one i know believes in toxic masculinity. The notion to not be proud of who you really are sounds silly.
