What are you thoughts about the weather change recently? It’s been getting warmer each year and less snow, atleast where I’m from. Do you think its global warming, earth coming out of an ice age, or something else?

In the last 100 years Earth’s temp is up 0.8 degrees C with no increase in the last 19 years. Well within normal climate change. Earth has never in its geological history had unvarying climate, simply it is either warming or cooling.

Where do you actually live? Context is a nice thing being that you seem to be a fictional character from under a bridge.

It's a scheme to gain global control by a handful of elites who will continue living lavishly while the rest of us will be forced to live without comfort and convenience. Here's just one article by a Green Peace Drop Out that helps explain what's happening:

The earth has cycles that it goes through. Now we have entered a new cycle where the sun isn’t as hot as it was 20 years ago. As for the climate change narrative it just not true this is a communist stile grab on the resources of free society. If you look at the big picture our species has been dealing with climate change for more than a 1/4 million years and we are not extinct. Main stream since suggests that we are as smart as we are because of climate change and mass extinctions. I live in the mid atlantic the weather here has always been unstable and it hasn’t been very cold but the rain doesn’t stop i believe this is because our global climate is cooling.

I didn't write this, but I have saved it for years.

“No matter if the science of global warming is all phony, climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.” - Christine Stewart, fmr Canadian Minister of the Environment

Quote by Jim Sibbison, environmental journalist, former public relations official for the Environmental Protection Agency: "We routinely wrote scare stories...Our press reports were more or less true...We were out to whip the public into a frenzy about the environment."

Quote by Ottmar Edenhoffer, level UN-IPCC official: "We redistribute de facto the world's wealth by climate policy...Basically it's a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization...One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore."

Some light reading for all you climate cultist.

Same Study where the 97% came from . 91% of those scientists said that man's affect on Global Warming is 1% or less. So You have 91% of scientists saying man's effect is 1% or less. You have 3% abstaining. and 6% saying it is more than 1%. That makes up your 97%

Fact: The percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere = 0.04%.
Fact: There are 32 molecules of CO2 in the atmosphere for every 85,000 other molecules and only one of these 32 is of manmade origin.
Fact: The percentage of man-made CO2 is 3% of the 0.04% which = 0.0004×0.03 = 0.000012 or 0.0012% of the atmosphere.
Fact: Burning fossil fuels is about 50% of that.
Therefore: The amount of man-made CO2 from burning fossil fuels is about 0.0006% of the atmosphere.

FACT: H2O absorbs more than 8X the heat producing infrared light CO2 does
FACT: Nitrogen absorbs more than 3X the heat producing infrared light CO2 does
FACT: both of these gasses are present in vastly larger volumes than CO2
FACT: these gasses both also retain heat no less than 4X longer than CO2
FACT: CO2 is heavier than water with a molecular weight of 22 to waters molleculat weight of 10, meaning it sinks not only in water but also through the air so it's existence is primarily in the lower atmosphere.
FACT: As light is absorbed by gasses going through the upper atmosphere there is less of it as it reaches the lower atmosphere meaning that CO2 naturally can't absorb the maximum amount of heat producing Infrared Light as it possibly can.
FACT: All of the facts I listed are stated in scientific laws which are universal to science
FACT: AGW is a religion not a science.

On 2/10/2015 "At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism."

Equality is not nor has it ever been possible.

Change is the only constant.

The problem you have is that global warming has become part of the leftist/socialist dogma, which makes the likelihood of ever getting research free from corruption and ideological biased unlikely. I am concerned about the planet. You can't have an ever-growing population numbering in the billions and not expect that our presence doesn't have impact, but I can't trust leftist ideologues to provide science-based evidence that would run counter to their dogma. Imagine being a Christian and someone comes to you with extremely compelling evidence that God does not exist. That's how I imagine leftist and their belief in socialism and global warming. It would shake their foundations.

It's all cycles. Global warming is the up swing for humanity, costal cities aside. More arable land, more areas with livable climates. People are a warm weather species. Global cooling is the trend humanity needs to fear.

I have always tried to look at it logically, I'm not a scientist. I compare climate change to cancer. Many things have been found to cause cancer. The government's focus is mainly on smoking. They have used the smoking habit to gather taxes and create laws and regulations. They use it for revenue, they have not found a cure in 50 years, nor have they banned smoking entirely. There are many things that cause climate change but the governments of the world have chosen CO2 as something they can tax and regulate to generate revenue. They know they will never be able to stop nature, it's all about sucking the wealth out of the private sector. Ice will form, ice will melt, it's happened for billions of years. What is the "normal" or optimum we are striving for? The answer is, there is no normal for the Earth.

Search YouTube for "global warming swindle".
Well made different perspective, about CO2. I'm very skeptical.

2

Critical points, never in History has warming been bad, never in history has cooling been good, and it has been much warmer and CO2 has been 17 times higher and yet we have had several Ice Ages since then. Also CO2 is 0.0004 of the atmosphere and human contribution is 4% or 0.000016 and anybody with a sense of Scale cannot rationally believe there can be a measurable effect, it is a clear colorless non-toxic molecule, there is no chemical reaction, no combustion and no fission. And the biggest problem is CO2 is the base of the food chain, it is only 400 PPM and at 150 PPM all complex life becomes Extinct, so believing the base of the food chain is "Pollution" is a mental illness.

1

A natural shift in the Earth's weather patterns, which I think occurs every 9,000-12,000 years.

1

I thought they had given up on "Global Warming" and went to "Climate Change". Well, guess what, the climate has been changing since long before man discovered fossil fuel.

2

I honestly believe that nobody truly knows. We do know that change is inherent in climate. We also know that areas that are lush and green now were once either Desert or ice sheets and vice versa. The science of climate change has be some become so politicized that it cannot be trusted. There does appear to be some warming going on but to what extent and for how long it will continue, nobody knows. I just live a good life, try to be responsible with resources and try to be a good steward of this earth

Snow Records
One could argue Eau Claire, Wisconsin, had the most impressive monthly record crushing.

This northwest Wisconsin city picked up 53.7 inches of snow in February alone, almost doubling their previous February record set during the Dust Bowl - 28.2 inches in 1936 - but crushing their previous record snowiest single month - 35.3 inches in January 1929 - by over 18 inches.
