I hope the identity politics posts arent getting a bit much.

A Coloured South African (otherwise known as Cape Malay, racially mixed and connected to the indigenous tribe of Khoi San) does not identify and not seen as Black. A Black person is a Bantu, just to give some context in what he is saying.

The Khoi-San were the only indigenous people in South Africa until the Dutch started settlements in the 1600s. It was another 100 years before the Bantu started arriving from the north.
