This is the point at which I feel I'm absolutely stuck and powerless. I firmly believe in integration, but when an incident like this in the video happens, I have no idea how to address it. (It normally goes down the path of identity politics, and I refuse to get sucked into it.) In the video, I can see both sides of the argument; one is the mother of a transgender daughter and the other is a Christian journalist. Neither should be favoured over the other, but then is it possible to find equal ground in such a situation? Incidentally, after they left the studio, the mother called the police and told that the Christian journalist committed a hate crime by misgendering her daughter. This is Britain, ladies and gentlemen, where we have hate speech laws...

Anti speech laws. Calling it hate speech is silly. The idea that children don't know anything but somehow know that they aren't the gender they are is an irrational jump. Giving children castration drugs is child abuse and I hope to someday see the doctors that participate in this child abuse go to jail. Mandating other people's speech by point of gun (government force) is despicable and has no part in a free society.

Sweden, which is known as a welcoming LGBT society, does not experience a positive impact on trans suicide rate. This is an internal psychological problem and solely blaming external problems (bullying) is incorrect.

Here's more to read. We are being lied to [dailywire.com]

Thanks for the article - interesting! At least one thing I'm clear about is that I definitely disagree that gender is fluid. To me, it has to stay as just a theory. Otherwise, it's nonsense. I'm not so concerned about self identification with adults; I expect them to be responsible for whatever choice they may make and suffer the consequences. However, when children, say aged 10 to 14, think that they're trapped in a wrong body and, if their condition is properly identified as gender dysphoria (and even if their minds are influenced by ideological activist parents like the one in the video), then, I think we have a responsibility as members of society to protect them. As the article suggests, even if they eventually grow out of it, how we should accommodate such children in various social circumstances until such time comes would be my question. Incidentally, in the UK, children under the age 18 with gender dysphoria are provided with psychological treatment, mainly by counselling, Puberty is also taken into consideration. My brain is hurting. lol

@Naomi "Prepare the child for the road not the road for the child." Conflict resolution is inevitable. I'd have to think that guiding a child through this experience would make more sense than waiting until the young adult is no longer under the shelter of loving parents. Also, learning to stand up for yourself is so empowering. The lack of a conservative voice in the College of Psychology is a serious problem and is cause for significant skepticism to these radical changes in treatments.

Looks like ideologues are winning at the moment, unfortunately... You may be interested to watch the other video I've just posted.
