Question 5. - Medical uses of marijuana comes to mind.

The only reason I agree with number 8 having not thought about it until recently, is that it occurred to me that world leaders and royalty etc seem to do very well avoiding cancer

I have not seen any evidence of #2, but history is full of government experimenting on their own citizens, so I would not be surprised at all. #5 feels reasonable, but I don't feel that is an evil plot, just the unfortunate inertia that seems to infect most sciences, where the old guard discounts new discoveries that change their bodies of work. No one wants to face that they have been wrong or misled for their entire career.

I feel like this is missing the ones where there are larger followings. Ex. 9/11, Sandy Hook, Vegas Shooting, Operation Artichoke, MK Ultra, Federal Reserve conspiracy, etc. (not saying I believe all of those).

2

There’s other conspiracy theories that have greater plausibility.

My husband represents a trucking company that delivers postal services, in large bags, across the country overnight. My husband has been contacted by individuals who have improved engines to make gas and diesel consumption so efficient I was excited. I’m talking about a diesel truck getting 30 miles to a gallon, but the higher-ups had absolutely no desire for this technology. And to let you know how long ago it was, they called me on our land line prior to me even owning a cell phone. To think of 30 mpg instead of 8-9? Who would benefit?

I believe in 1 and 5. I believe partially in #6 - in that parts were staged and filmed to broadcast during the landing. This was done for security issues, or to have coverage to cut to during an emergency. Wouldn't want to broadcast dying astronauts live if something went wrong.

I don't know about the other items on the list, but #7 is historically proven fact. Subliminal advertising in video and cinema was abandoned around the mid-1990s because of its ineffectiveness. With video editor apps now widely available, no self-respecting ad agency or govt-contracted PR firm would try subliminal flash-visuals today. People can slow down the frames and easily spot any embedded messages. The very purpose of advertising is to manipulate the public into buying something. The various forms of propaganda in advertising are well-documented. Read up on Edward Bernays.

Yeah, it's hard to cover that many disparate topics, each in appropriate level of detail, for a simple one question poll ... though I appreciate the OP's efforts to do so.

For #5, I struggle with agreeing with the finality implied above, but government prohibition on marijuana (despite beneficial CBDs) seems to fit that general description.

Like 5, for instance. I believe that paradigms and parameters are impetant to science and research but those same things can be used as weapons to stifle anamolies. But out right banning things that are "proven," this I have a hard time swallowing.

I might believe portions of certain statements but not to the extent stated.

I almost clicked for #2, we've done scary things with syphilis. Opening the question to all the world govts, I assume some govt has spread the disease or just allowed it spread but I see no evidence.
