My small town is a fabulous place to live, with one exception. Last years’ mayoral election brought out 70+% of the populace. Okay, that was beyond good. Now the wild part. The winner won by 120 votes. There were over 20,000 votes cast. Now the loser is still upset. I sincerely agree that any and all protocol need to be followed to be certain the election is certified. Now we are on the second or third lawsuit against the election commission and now the cast votes that were not counted may be viewed with no technology in the room, only paper and pencil or pen. The losing candidate may bring two people, plus his attorney. How do you feel about this? Will the viewing of votes that cannot change an election make a diffference? This has already divided our community before the election, at the time of the election, and now, one more time. The populace has been told the voters’ names have been removed from their ballots.

Wow - I'm right up the road in Jackson, and this is the first I have heard about this. Honestly, living that close to Memphis, you have bigger problems than two children squabbling over who gets to F the community IMO.
