In 2016, Trump reanimated the "Reagan Democrat" that had been dead since the 1990s, taking a large chunk of the "working vote" from the Democrats.

Since then, polls indicate that Trump is also winning historical high support from blacks and Latinos, undermining the Democrats claim to be the party of minorities.

And now this.[thehill.com] If Trump next year makes big gains also amongst Jews, he will have demolished near-all cornerstones of FDR's electoral "New Deal coalition."

Left of the Dem's solid base is thus only academics, Hollywood, and the super rich; three groups that will never except that most people are fully capable of running their lives without their "expert" advice.

I think Trump will make substantial gains amongst blacks, Latinos and Jews next year. However, I don't thing they will be quite as large as some people hope/fear because of the Democrats MSM support and lingering power over people's imagination as being the party of "normal folk."

Spare an economic recession or a war, I think Trump will win around 53% (+/- 2%) of the popular vote in 2020.

One turning point will be Democrat support for the indefensible act of killing preborn babies. Calling them what they are will antagonize a large cross section of the public .

@Edwardsson It may take a nudge to move public sentiment of it's mark . Refusing to do businesses with companies that support abortion or use aborted tissue in their products would be a good start .
