An active compound in marijuana called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has been found to promote the removal of toxic clumps of amyloid beta protein in the brain, which are thought to kickstart the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.

The finding supports the results of previous studies that found evidence of the protective effects of cannabinoids, including THC, on patients with neurodegenerative disease.

Just playing devils advocate here but wouldn't that mean the there should be no regular users of marijuana with Alzheimer's? I don't think that is the case.

I don’t think Alzheimer’s will be fully irradicated, but, I’d be willing to bet it won’t be near as prevalent if people knew this information and used this medicinal plant regularly.
Side effects are usually very positive as well, because the plant is good for so many things!
