As a Christian I feel strongly that if you follow Gods law
Mans laws really just kinda fall by the wayside, sharia is mans law since Muhammed is dead!!!

I follow a common sense law I don’t need a book to tell me what is wrong and right.

@Ktpie
Which is your God given right, God bless bro .

@Ktpie Not trying to belittle you. But we are all creatures of the cultures we grew up in and you most likely grew up in a culture shaped by Bible reading Christianity. If you grew up in among the Aztecs 500 years ago or some other God forsaken culture you'd be a demon possessed cannibal. There would be no such thing for you as common sense law. Your environment, this free world that you did not create but Bible reading Christians did. Gave you the opportunity to think right. Don't pooh pooh it.

@DanMartinovich if you want to follow a fictional book and all fairness no one had a choice back in the day and there were always atheists they just didn’t speak up as much as they did today. Your not “belittling me” only yourself with your cognitive bias i

@DanMartinovich A cognitive bias is a systematic pattern of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment. Individuals create their own "subjective social reality" from their perception of the input. An individual's construction of social reality, not the objective input, may dictate their behaviour in the social world.

@Ktpie The facts are still the facts. If you were raised in Aztec culture 500 years ago you'd be eating human flesh in demon fueled rituals and the intellectualism you boast about would be non existent. But I assume you were born into the free world with its basis in Judaeo\Christian thought. My point being the morality you boast of didn't proceed from you. Real morality is objective but it has to become subjective for it to exert any influnce on human beings. The free worlds morality came from Bible reading people. Both the Christians and non Christians were intimately familiar with its pages. After all it was the basis of all education for hundreds of years.

You can deny realty and claim bias but ignore your cognitive bias all you want. it doesn't change realty.

@Dunne
That is why I am always careful to distinguish the Bible possessing, Bible reading "Christian " world from the "Christian" world that neither had nor read Bibles. The general public only began to gain access to Bibles in the 16th century. At that point as in many other era's it was highly illegal and could get you burned at the stake or worse. Basically one had to have the proper political connections to be able to have one. And rich since it took a professional copyist quite a while to make one. Hand written ones done in secret were ruthlessly sought out and destroyed by the powers that existed.

That is why they had pictures, stain glass windows, statues, confessionals that were memorized. Because they didn't have Bibles. The kings and emperors of Europe that founded all those imperial "Catholic" churches didn't do it to promote real Christianity, but to to control it. Exactly the same way you see communist governments with their state authorized churches today.

The first peoples in the history of mankind where the general public got access to Bibles that they could read themselves were in northern Europe. Southern Europe at that time was pretty successful at exterminating their populations that were gaining access to them. They tried that in northern Europe to but that was another first in human history. A people were the general public was gaining access to Bibles actually won, or at least fought to a stalemate the powers that sought to exterminate them. For the 1500 years prior they won a few battles but never the war and genocide always followed.

So we went from a world in which almost no one had or read Bibles. To a world (in northern Europe and later the Untied States.) where everyone, Christian and non Christian read them everyday. Those readers created the free world that you are probably one of those now enjoying.

The Spanish were a cruel enslaving murderous lot at the time. Although some monk eventually persuading the Spanish emperor to outlaw human slavery down the road. Still, in my humble opinion the cruelty of the Spanish was a step up from the cruelty of the Aztecs that westerners, experientialy know nothing about. Good movie scene that describes it on a small scale. Was on a much bigger scale in reality though.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

I guess the Middle East fared much better with the invasion of the Islamist and the Czarist Russian with the invasion of the communists?
But who of all the invaders or mass migrants created the free world?

As a Man I think Sharia Law is great i get to be a pedophile and beat and stone women. Unfortunately I am a man who would never condone these things. My mother has passed but she she was a strong Christian anybody who touched her would die

@Dunne My mother taught me fine

It really means freedom from institutional persecution , which is the defining mark of both government and Islam . The two are a deadly combination .
