From the Pulitzer.org website:
2018 Pulitzer Prize for Journalism, National Reporting Category
"Staffs of The New York Times and The Washington Post
For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration. (The New York Times entry, submitted in this category, was moved into contention by the Board and then jointly awarded the Prize.)"
According to several news sources, President Trump is now calling for the revocation of the award from The New York Times and The Washington Post for their coverage of the Mueller/special council investigation into the Administration's alleged Russian Collusion in the 2016 Presidential Election.
Should the award be rescinded?
Oh please, go back and watch Networkm the film made in 1976. Howard Beale's speech sums it up perfectly. "We (the media, meaning television) are in the entertainment business. We are in the boredom killing business. We'll lie to you. We'll tell you anything you want to know. No one at Archie bunker's house gets cancer, at the end of the hour Kojak will get the criminal." The pulitizer prize is just a symbol of the self presevation society.
Yes. But then again, that's what you gets when ya got fools dislocatin their shoulders to pat themselves on the back. How many pins did Brezhnev have on his chest? Are we really supposed to think it means anything?
Well, yes, those medals meant something. To have survives the purges of Uncle Joe during WWII and beyond deserves a medal or two.
@Marta-Amance How right you are. I think one of them was for sneaky bootlicking!
