I have recently become fascinated with the teachings of Diogenese. For the benefit of those who are unfamiliar, he was a Greek Philosopher and fair to say a provocateur. He lived in Plato's time and like Socrates before him he was of the oral tradition and did not document his own thoughts. However he was not timid about sharing his thoughts and ideas... Here's one example I love on virtue; which seems particularly appropriate with all the virtue signaling going on in recent times.
