My next topic will address Socialism (i.e., Progressive Liberalism). When it comes to defining what socialism actually is we must look inward within ourselves and examine those behaviors that seems to be associated with it. I have always used the descriptor provided by P.J. O'Rourke to define what progressive liberalism (i.e., socialism) truly is because they are one in the same.
“At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child — miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism (socialism) is a philosophy of sniveling brats.”
Ultimately I believe this is what Socialism boils down to when you peel the onion. Contrived by sniveling brats too lazy to do anything constructive. Too preoccupied with themselves and their selfish addictions to help anyone else but themselves. Not that I have an opinion.

The problem with socialism is that centrally locating power lends itself to corruption and in turn, tyranny. Even if a leader is genuinely altruistic they will be usurped by someone malevolent. Russia alone lost somewhere between 60 and 100 million lives.
This analysis does not accurately represent the core problem (mass murder) with socialism, or explain the relationship between liberalism and socialism.
Your definition works as well as any that is more accurate and it is easier for the average individual to grasp.
