A musician I've known for many years but had not seen for some times posted a MEME (Of Sorts) on her FB page. It read "Life is all about finding people who are your kind of crazy" and had a cartoonish illustration of four characters with similar freaky hair, clothes etc... It struck me as being childishly tribal and Identitarian in nature... My comment in reply was... "I totally disagree, life is far more interesting and rewarding when you mix with all kinds of crazy " .., I understand the need for tribalism from a basic "evolutionary biology" standpoint but I've never been one to belong to or align with any one tribe exclusively. I guess I'm too fiercely independent and a bit of a gypsy spirit by nature... Perhaps that's one of the reasons I never married and had kids. Great for the independent spirit but not a good strategy for survival of a lineage. So I may be a success creatively/intellectually and a failure in an evolutionary sense... Any thoughts?
