Great deal of discussion about climate change. I suggest that Mother Nature has a handle on this. As more people inhabit the planet, more arable land is required to provide food. So, the temperature goes up a degree or two-over a long period of time. And more land is able to be planted. And more green plants to absorb the carbon. Now, the land that is desert needs help. Perhaps better irrigation. Methods of desalinating the sea water. Oh wait. Israel has that technology and shares it. So maybe climate change isn't so terrible. So catastrophic. Maybe the cup is half full rather than half empty. What do you think? #climatechange

You have to be aware of the carbon magnitudes and you have to think in terms of bang for buck.
The question of if the Earth is doomed or not is a red herring.

For example, instead of carbon capture at power plants, use methane to produce fertilizer and fertilize
large trees that are near water.

I find it odd that spokespeople from extinction rebellion claim that in the future they may not be able to feed their children when global poverty levels are crashing, more food is produced and wasted than ever before and in the West,we appear to have more of an issue with obesity from overconsuming the wrong types of food

The climate is changing. The primary drivers are solar output, continental drift, Himalayan uplift, the wobble in the earth's rotational axis, and the variance in the earth's orbit about the sun. If someone could let me know which of these humanity can modify let me know. Also let me know how to modify these factors to bring about a positive impact on humanity. Until those two questions are answered the conversation about rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. Things change. Enjoy the ride.

Another issue is the shifting magnetic poles.

Virtually everything Democrats worry about is a hoax. Everything Democrats believe in are hoaxes. Their entire world view is false and based on lies. I wasted a lot of time in life, researching and trying to understand Democrat cause-du-jour... They're all lies. Now I just assume it's a lie until proven otherwise.

I don't think we are as smart as we think we are. I don't pretend to understand the entire echo system, especially not when that hot star up there is envolved.

We should probably attempt to leave a smaller footprint, but how that is done, only we as individuals can know for sure.

Good ideas don't require force. We will adapt to change when it benefits us. I have faith that we will adapt, as long as we are free to do so. Its kind of our thing.

I was an avid believer in climate change for forty or more years. Then I retired and found myself with time to research the truth. My view now, is still that the climate's changing, but mankind (and womankind if you must) has little to no effect on these changes. It's my view that climate change is driven by the big yellow ball in the sky aka the sun. Solar flare activity or the lack thereof has a major impact on our climate. I also believe that anyone who believes that humans are powerful enough to overcome Mother Nature, is arrogant in the extreme.

Mother Nature does have a handle on it. Our climate changes. We need Mother Nature but she sure as shit doesn't need us

You are just on-the-money.

I agree. I don’t trust the same alarmists who scared the crap out of us with the ‘coming ice age’, the population explosion among so many other scare tactics.

Theres a hole in the OZONE!
