It isn't funny at all that it is on the same day as the carbon taxes, if it is actually a real concern. Of course incentives need to be put in the right places to move away from a carbon economy if carbon emissions are the main threat

Funny that this report comes out on April Fools Day, and on the same day that the government is raising carbon taxes?
Could the release of this report be to quell the outrage that Canadians feel because they are already TAXED TO DEATH and they know that there is no way in hell that an additional tax is going to actually reduce carbon emissions?

I really HATE this stuff. Politicizing science is a very bad idea. Period.

I've always been really interested in religions, and the propagation of this secular-religious-dogma is fascinating to watch. These people go apoplectic at the suggestion, given their hatred of Christianity. But, the parallels are just too tantalizing to ignore. It's so entertaining to watch and wonder when the light bulb is going to go on for them--when they finally see the similarities to religion for themselves. On the dark side, I've wondered if that moment would follow some horrifically violent act--which would take the amusement part of it right out...

I personally believe that this announcement was just a good April Fools hoax. In reality though, I see it as Climate Barbie and her 40 stooges using fake news to deflect from the real crap that is going on in Ottawa.

Canada was emitting 2% of the world's carbon emissions when Chretien was PM. It dropped to 1.5% in the last ten years, a 25% decrease without any carbon tax.

If Canada stops ALL carbon emissions including everyone stop breathing, we could drop the world's carbon percentage by less than one one thousandth of one percent.
