When we talk about gun control, we often argue that anti-gun activists operate on pure emotion. They can’t argue with facts because far too often for their liking the facts work against them. So, they use emotion. They want an emotional response because it’s their best hope for ginning up popular support for gun control.
When I was a teen in both junior and senior high school we had to watch all those health and automobile accident films. Many of them were very gross footages taken at the scenes of accidents when the body counts were higher (fifties and sixties) and definitely more bloody. I remember one scene where the camera approaches from the left rear of the Corvair and you see a head lying on the window sill. We get to the head and then pull out to the side and see the skull is literally split in half by the wind wing window frame. Then a hand pulls that head back out of the frame. Imagine if someone started a campaign the publish the photographs of individuals who died in authombile accidents. Gosh, maybe we would all be riding bicycles by now.
