The theme for the day, was indeed, that of The Will.
Will, not willfulness. There is a difference and a distinction, but that is for another time. Over the course of the day, the will; in relation to redemption, recovery, amends, and character was a connective thread that ran throughout.
It was mentioned that the will, free will, is man's one true, intrinsic possession. The will is what drives us towards a higher purpose, a refined state of being...it drives us to amend our ways and means that is beyond the capacity of intellect. Intellect, knowledge, is a simple gathering of information, statistics, observations. The will is what drives us to assemble that which the intellect gathers and make use of those things, experiences, for the furtherance of purpose. Purpose resides in the will...without purpose, our actions are nothing more than randomized events arising out of satisfaction of base desires.
