In Australia we have Constitutional Law ( which is being ignored ) For example:

Section 116 of the Constitution of Australia precludes the Commonwealth of Australia (i.e., the federal parliament) from

1:making laws for establishing any religion,

2: imposing any religious observance,

3: or prohibiting the free exercise of any religion.

Yet! Sharia Law is operational, and so is Halal Tax

This is in direct contravention of Australian Constitutional law.

As for Section ( 3 ) - " religious law " does NOT override constitutional law. - As was proven when a man from an Islamic country came to Australia and married a 14yr old Muslim girl. He tried to use this very section of the constitution to protect himself from prosecution, as in " prohibiting the free exercise of any religion " - but was told by the magistrate that under Australian federal law, sexual intercourse of a minor is a criminal offense - regardless of " religious freedoms " as our Constitutional protections of our sovereign nation outweigh religious laws and customs brought into the nation. Long story short? Our sovereign Laws are meant for our nation as " LAW " - not as an afterthought.
