Do you recall when flirting was okay and fun? Not a reason to destroy someone and consider suing them for sexual harassment?

Being a somewhat master flirter (I had a quick sense of humor that didn't rely on Jokes)
I loved parties & dropping in to favorite bars that were not just meat markets
When a woman quickly caught on and gave back with an increasing intensity & lowered, langourous side-eye flashing after recovering from laughing or giggling it was FUN

I enjoyed giving her what she'd confess was rather rare -- Wit & go with the flow off-the-cuff out of left field random thoughts

Women would tell ME how much fun it was to FLIRT, just to FLIRT and focus on one person who was really fun to be with.

Sometimes I judged a situation might really develop if I did some physical flirting with her soon after meeting & making her laugh.

Somehow, by some stroke of luck & maybe intuition, I kept meeting women who loved to flirt & responded over and over with wanting to take it further, even if I sometimes decided to not to take advantage.

All I really had going for me was an unusual sense of humor that seemed to pick the right "audience" & a deep voice, physically strong. No model looks.

I really pity what younger people are missing today. Societal norms in Western cultures seem to make boys even more awkward and reticent to just really let their personalities go for it in meeting girls and women.

Funny story that kinda fits. I once worked with a woman who displayed annoyance with me regularly. I couldn't figure it out. well a couple years later at an office party and a few drinks in us, she finally admitted why she was annoyed with me. turns out I was one of the only males in office that didn't stare at her large breasts while talking to her, she became so used to that that she was on the verge of hysteria because I didnt stare at her breasts while talking to her.

How dare you not stare at her big milk jugs! You should have been sent to reeducation camp then fired.

@Scanderbeg i was thinking after I made the post, that if that happened today, Id probably be accused of rape, assault, and being sexist. am I wrong?

I remember the last time was in the late 1980s. Now everyone at least in America are afraid to even flirt.

Just another symptom of divide and conquer post-modernism.

Yeah... the good ol’ days... I remember back when a girl with purple hair, tattoos, piercings and Doc Martens was either a punk or metal head, and you knew she was cool. Nowadays I don’t dare look at a girl with purple hair, tattoos and Doc Martens because she’s more than likely a hyper-feminized militant trans-insert-your-pronoun and making eye contact means that I am trying to impose white Western male patriarchal privilege in an oppressive and aggressive manner.

Yes, I remember those days. It was a fun way to see how far one could go without harm. Now a valuable way to communicate has been destroyed. People in the small city and area where I live still like when you are friendly to them and recognize their existence.

Flirting was fun and most relationships that i had started precisely with flirting. Flirting is a tool to test the water. Flirting could also be just casual and fun just for the sake of it. Sadly, PC has errorded some of these natural instincts.

I certainly remember when it changed. Depressed the hell out of me. Years (many many years) later it seems better, but that's 'cause I live in Spain, and it's a little more natural here. And I live in the mountains, and I don't hardly see anyone, and when I flirt with woman they usually act like they don't even notice, so ....
I am older though, and it's all changed.
