Those of a certain age will always remember December 7 in a certain way.
The hard part is separating our desire for collective appreciation of that day, and all that followed, from the inevitable fading of memories of its cataclysmic effects in the minds of both the young and not yet born.
If it is no longer felt, it must always be taught.
