Journalists, Avi Yemeni and Sydney Watson detained by the FBI for 'Violent intent'.
Avi Yemeni has been deported by American authorities.
The investigation was launched after a 'tip-off', as Comedy Central had lodged a complaint.
Avi Yemeni had recently exposed 'comic' Jim Jeffries for his Anti-islamic sentiments via a secret recording during his scheduled interview.
Later Jeffries had Comedy Central interview footage edited so the context of statements were altertered, in attempt to expose Avi Yemeni for Anti-Islamic sentiment.
Jeffries was unaware of Yemeni's recording.
Avi Yemeni exposed Jim Jeffries via a YouTube video.
An indictment on the current situation of free speech, if ever there was one!

Google doesn't have them listed as "Journalists", even though these times that's a low bar to meet.

Besides, why should the US get all twisted up about anything an Aussie says?

Remember way back when a infamously popular Holocaust denier stepped off a plane in Germany and was immediately arrested? They weren't arrested, just weren't let in. Australia also denies entrance for reason

Sovereign governments have the right to deny entry to foreign nationals

If Jim Jefferies was coming here to dig up material for his next big bang, perhaps the US powers that be said "we'll pass"

We have plenty of home grown "Journalists" who have nary a true word to say

My mistake for naming them Journalists.
They are simple Right-wing activists who Blog.
They lack the multi-national backing, and relay their own thoughts. Therefore, cannot ever be considered modern journalists.
Why would America give a damn about anything that happens in allied countries indeed? Good question.
But, apparently someone in America does. More accurately, someone in the FBI.

USA paddling down the same river as Europe.
Expect at least a doubling of Avi's popularity by this stunt.
Idiots.
