A Local Call
“Okay…go ahead, you can talk!”
He came to the Kotel to daven. Apparently, someone he knows couldn’t get here… and he or she wanted to talk to Hashem from right here at the Kotel. Hashem is everywhere, but He seems to listen better here than anywhere else.
He put his cell phone flat up against the Kotel so his friend could talk to Hashem from here where it’s a “local call.”
What would Maimonides think of this use of technology?
Maybe he would say it is the coming age of Moshiach. Technology sufficiently advanced enough to appear as magic to those of the distant past.

I've known Jews from all over the world. almost all seem to have fallen off the vegetable truck.
Then I guess I am a rutabaga or a kohlrabi but probably the horseradish.
