However, there are signals that Russia and part of the DPR leadership are still open to talks with the US. The success of the talks will entirely depend on the political will of Washington. On what price the American establishment is ready to pay to demonstrate to its population its commitment to the principle of protecting its citizens abroad in every possible way. For now, unfortunately for the captives, Biden has not thought of anything better to do than to announce some kind of new sanctions against those involved in holding US citizens captive.

The question is would it do any good since no one in the US government is in charge. They should open talks with Schwab and Soros if they want results.

As in any large organization one is not allowed to go to top management but is obligated to take complaints to the flunkies . . . the flunkies who, of course, are not allowed to make decisions but just follow policies passed down from on high. So, in the, I guess, these guys will face a firing squad because to talk to Donbas would, in the mind of the big shots, be a loss of face. Arrogance, hubris, pride, all things that God hates are involved here . . . all on top of the murder of innocents in an unnecessary war.
