I guess those inmates didn’t want to identify as trans-women…
CLARK COUNTY, Indiana
Despite screams for help, no guards came to the aid of the female prisoners during the hours-long attack, according to the lawsuits. Instead, guards allegedly put the women on lockdown and left the jail lights on for 72 hours.
Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. It's only the egregious nature of the dereliction of the guards and the heinous assault by the male inmates that brought it to light. Hundreds of less egregious actions by guards happen every day that never get reported in the news.
The problem stems from the dehumanization of the inmates in the eyes of the guards. If they cannot empathize with the prisoners they easily discount the rights of said prisoners. Our system of incarceration in America is long overdue for a reform.
That's pure evil. Guards should have their ball sacks removed.
Wow what a story. - so since this jail housed both male and female inmates in separate "pods" I'm wondering if some of the guards who participated in this scandal were female. Story says guards left the lights on for 72 hours after having confiscated without legal cause bedding - sheets and blankets from the womens pod inmates. Then they let the male prisoners have free access to the women in their own pod. Put two and two together it seems like the guards were intent on "enjoying" some live action rape porn on their monitors.
