Those are "con-trails" - Condensation trails. NOT exhaust gasses. Con Trails are not "polution". They are merely streaks of condensed moisture (water) created by forcing a very large metal object through high altitude and very frigid air at a high rate of speed.

Water vapor is a byproduct of burning jet fuel.
