When Park replied that it wouldn't make sense form someone to claim to be Native in those circumstances, Alito quipped "[Suppose] I identify as an American Indian because I've always been told that some ancestor back in the old days was an American Indian."
Park conceded that it would be pretty unlikely the student was telling the truth in the context.
