I also heard some pinhead suggesting/insisting (I dunno, don't care) that the drug mule was carrying all her THC vape stuff to treat her cataracts. Uh, say wut?
They have to have been babbling about glaucoma, 'cause cataracts are really only treated with surgery.
In any case, THC is the grass active ingredient that gets you high, little to no medicinal effect. The other ingredient, CBD, does have an anti-inflammatory impact. Does not get you high, a'tall, though -- which is probably why it is allowed in some areas and why she didn't mess with it.
