All human institutions, including churches, are corruptible. Restoration of integrity only comes with the help of God, and only for those seeking prayerfully to do His will, not political will. Anyone who turns their church toward human law - whatever they believe that to be, at the expense of reverence for God’s will, has turned away from God.
