Nikki should go home and play with her cats.

Haley does not strike me as a solid Constitutionalist. That is what matters to anyone with any sense.

But just as dangerous is that she supports US interference in Ukraine, which means as someone formerly an ambassador to the UN, that she apparently learned nothing.

It’s good to be reminded of failures and successes of each candidate along with their overall platform and perspective WRT priorities for the position. Although it is important to know why not to vote for each candidate, I hope this doesn’t devolve into another character assassination campaign against all competitors for the presidency. It would be nice to see qualifications and why we should vote for a person alongside why we shouldn't vote for the same person without extreme exagérations and outright lies mixed in. It will be necessary to do a lot of personal research on each candidate and build our own matrix of graded pro vs con issues.

Unfortunately, for most people, that personal work is too much to ask. What we end up with is a death match where the one who wins is the one who is still standing, bloodied and weakened by the battle (or just a better assassin). Not necessarily the best person for the position.

@Daveclark5 I gave two clear facts and why they should be persuasive to anyone who is informed. No character assassination.

@TimTuolomne

Oops. Sorry it came across that way. It should have been a comment off the main post.

I noticed Trump on the attack against anybody running for the office of president; whether it is just an insult about their looks or their voice or their name or an actual flaw in their character or their platform. This is frequently the beginning of dog pile.for others to pile on with issues, many of which are lies or overstatements of perceived shortcomings. Some of the issues are of critical importance, but they get lost in all the nonsense. This is shaping up to be another example of that kind of counterproductive street-fight. campaigning. Even if the attacks successfully knock out of the race a competitor, it causes a rift that would make it impossible for the assassin to select the person he knocked out of the race as his/her running mate.

There is a good of this ugliness in that it shows the pettiness of some of the candidates while showing the strength and competence under attack by others (like the way DeSantis handles the attacks. ). It also, gets all the foolishness out of the way earlier so that it becomes a lukewarm burn later when the Demonicraps say the same thing and it has no real effect as race culminates.

When it comes down to it, you must be a pretty miserable candidate if you can only win by indicating that you aren’t as bad as others and that you can’t stand on your own virtue.

@Daveclark5 Good points Dave. No offense taken. Just wanted to be sure I was clear.
