If you define smart as speed, some computers are already smarter.
But AI depends on the programmer. What did the programmer teach it to do? Like your kids. Did you bring them up to be considerate, safe, or ax murderers?
There should have been discussion about that before just anyone should be allowed the resources to create AI.
Which political party will AI be? Will AI respect your medical privacy? These and many other decisions are about to be in the hands of someone you've never heard of. As for me, I object.
