Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he is working “as swiftly as Texas law allows regarding the pardon of Sgt. Daniel Perry.”

Perry was convicted of murder Friday in Austin in the shooting death of protester Garrett Foster, who aimed AK-47 at his face.

Admittedly, what relatively little I've been following that story had done so strictly from one point of view, and didn't really pay much attention to the Foster side of the story. Came across this one yesterday, and Legal Insurrection is a known right-leaning site. I'm somewhat surprised at the following article coming from such a source, but glad they did and I saw it by chance, and what I read makes me rethink my sympathies on that matter. Additionally, after considering the other side of the story now the move by Governor Abbott to pardon Perry seems to be one of political opportunism meant to appeal to his constituency. For consideration, the other side of that story, from a known right-leaning source.-

The courts are infiltrated with radicalized lefties. It seems most of our institutions have been consumed by an evil, hateful agenda which weaponizes the power of those institutions against the people to enforce their ideologies

I hope Sgt. Perry gets exonerated, that sounded like a case of self-defense to me.
