San Francisco is a postcard from a driverless car future. Here’s what it’s like.

When the dense, iconic fog rolled in over the residential neighborhood of Balboa Terrace on a recent Tuesday, five matching white SUVs covered in cameras ground to a halt.

Confused by the drop in visibility, the Google-owned electric Jaguar I-PACEs tried to pull over and wait out the weather — creating a brief traffic jam. But there was no one inside to yell at. The cars were empty autonomous cars run by software.

The majority of the population has no ability to foresee consequences like these. And unfortunately neither do most AI developers apparently. The failure to incorporate backup systems like radar - which are now small and cheap, infrared and sonic systems to confirm the vision systems, is foolish beyond comprehension.

So these are the people designing the most dangerous computers in human history.

Thank God I'm a Christian and will go Home when their consequences come to roost. No one else but Christians will go Home. A bit of research into comparative religions will tell you why.
