How I save energy.
In the summer, when the A/C is running, I shower to get wet, turn off the water while I soap up.
In Winter the heat makes it dry so I catch bath water and open door so the steam humidity, helps the house.
When I shave or anything else, I turn the water off except when I’m actually using it.
I walk when I can, coast a lot, drive easy, ride a motorcycle and smaller, more energy efficient cars.
I designed our house to capture the heat from the winter sun and keep it out in summer.
I use cold water to wash everything except whites. Air dry towels and then tumble to make them soft.
I keep thermostat set high in summer and low in winter to minimize the delta.
Spent $ on insulation instead of gas.
Don’t waste money and energy on huge vehicles, boats, or other energy dissipating, conspicuous consumptors.
Use a toaster oven and the grill during summer.

Something other than politics, to chew on for a change.
What are your ideas ?

You are such an Architect!

My Dad had the crazy idea of not installing outlets on the exterior walls because they would compress the insulation and create areas for heat loss. We later had outlets installed because not having an outlet every 12 ft is against code.

That’s what my kids say. I’m obsessive about turning water off when you shave or wash dishes. Leaving doors open too long, I’m a thermostat Nazi 😎 keep every window latch latched. Etc. There are twice as many people on earth than earth can sustain. Natural resources are being exhausted.
If everyone did their part we might get an extra generation or two before our tribulation.
I think we should put small nuclear reactors on container and cruise ships. They use more fuel and produce more pollution than all vehicles combined (except airplanes).
